Prototype view desktop design
Dear Adobe, could you please NOT add borders to my desktop design layout canvas when previewed in prototype mode? I don't want a black background surrounding the outside area of my screen, all I want is to be able set that color myself so the open layout can be showed as intended. So if the bg color of my desktop design is orange I don't want a black background outside my layout in fullscreen. It is totally pointless and it makes it utterly impossible to demonstrate and open design where the layout is fixed where I have set it and…

Improvements of the linking method in Prototype mode
I am working on a few projects that are nearing 100 screens, and linking them starts to become a problem.
Here are a few things that I think might help the situation:
Use the artboards order from the side panel into the dropdown menu. I don't know how the order in the dropdown is created, maybe by time of creation of the artboard, but is certainly not by name. By doing this we can at least group the artboards and find them more easily.
Incorporating a search bar into the dropdown is kinda strange and confusing, so another solution for…

Published Prototype Interactions too Subtle
Loving the updates but my clients are confused. As a designer, the prototype layout makes sense — As a non-designer, it's not clear what actions should be taken.
I think the Invision prototype screen is initially more intuitive. For instance, it first opens in fullscreen mode (allowing for that first look excitement from the client) but has a sticky container that clearly tells the viewer they can take more actions to view and add comments and see additional artboards.
In short, I think the prototype needs to be catered more towards clients.
Thank you!

Improve prototype display so clients know they can scroll
I've now had 3 clients voice confusion on "how they can see the rest of the page" on the prototype. The way its laid out, as a frame in the middle of the page, is proving to be confusing even to typical enterprise clients.
I understand the reasoning is to display the page with the specfied fold, but I don't think its useful the way it's implemented. It makes it look like a picture on a page, not a scrollable window.
It may work better allow the prototype to scroll within the full height of the browser, and treat the…

Generate password automatically.
Hi there,
Thanks for the new feature - password on shared prototype.
Everything works well, except that I need to generate secured password by myself. So, kindly add auto generate feature.
Thanks.

Move all connections to an artboard to another
It would be so helpful to be able to move all the connections linked to 1 page and attach them to another 1.
For example: I connected 30 pages to the Home page, but now my Home is another one and I'd like to move all those connections to the new one.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Show which items are in the batch visually
Create visually a way to show which items that was put in the batch. It will be easy if the user want to know if the same item was included twice through the artboard.

Previous Artboard scroll position
When creating hamburger menus on mobile I would like an option to go back to previous slide once closing it and keeping the art-boards previous location. The new feature of preserving scroll is a step in the right direction. But doesn't help with this problem.

Control interactive prototype's behavior with custom code (Javascript, python)
Basically XD is a step in the right direction, but from our understanding it does not really support scripting such as JS or similar, and so we can only prototype using static images, instead of HTML5 code we want to use to test the overall look of the planned website.

No hotspot for scrollable screens
There is no hotspot for giving a hint that an artboard is scrollable.
We got it for buttons when clicking outside an clickable area. But there is not hints for scrollable artboards.
It is easy to forget to look for that feature and it makes the end user to miss out of content.
Posted a video of showing the problem. There could be an hint that there is more content to view.

Trigger interactions on mouse down / touch down / press (instead of click / mouse up)
Use (or have the option to use) a mouse-down (or touch-down) input to trigger changes instead of a full click (down+up).
When doing usability testing it's possible a user might try to click and drag something. Unnecessary confusion may result when the system doesn't respond at all (because a full click is necessary to trigger a change). If we could respond to the initial -press- or mouse-down we could provide an immediate response at the time the gesture begins, mitigating confusion.
Of course drag-and-drop would be super ideal, but the ability to respond to a press response would allow us…

Prototyping mode: View that doesn't show all links / interaction wires
In a document with a large number of artboards it would be great to have some functionality for clearing up the clutter:
1: Select a number of artboards.
2: Choose View, «Show Only Links of selected artboards»
or
Choose View, «Show Only outgoing links of selected artboards»
or
Choose View, «Show Only incomming Links of selected artboards»Thanks.

Re-enable the feature to add your own icon to Prototypes
In the Beta vesion of XD there used to be a feature to add an icon (client logo etc.) to the Prototypes, so if you saved it to your homescreen (iOS) the icon would act as the favicon/home screen icon. This seems to have been dissabled in the official release, can we have it back as it was very useful. Ironically my old prototypes still have the icon in them and I no longer have any way of updating/removing them

Default desktop preview should be full screen
I would like to see the default desktop prototype view as full browser width without the title/sign-in information at top similar to Sketch. This information could be hidden somewhere or yoou provide the option when creating initial link.

Desktop Preview: switch between screen sizes (desktop, mobile, ...)
If you create an artboard and make responsive versions it would be a useful feature when you could connect the different screen sizes of that artboard (desktop, tablet landscape, tablet portrait, mobile) and than show buttons in the preview window to switch between this screen sizes.

Dynamic Type
Hi, would be great to have dynamic type incorporated into prototype mode. Is there any plan to implement this in future release?

Confirmation Box when Creating New Link
When you have an existing shared project and you go to "Share Again", because you need to update the link, the new link is directly under the "Share Again" button, so I have accidentally clicked "New Link" when I only wanted to do an update.
This mistake means I have to contact the entire Executive and Sales levels associated with the source project, to let them know about the new link they now have to distribute to all of the Clients / Prospects / Partners. This also means update PowerPoints that have the link embedded with them, etc... It's a…

Preview via QR code
To solve the problem to connect by a USB cable on W10, it would be great to enable to preview the prototype by scanning a QR code like it was possible with Pixate Studio. This was a real big asset of Pixate, very helpful, and I think it’d make XD even better.

Option to make Preview window not always on top
The 'design preview' window is set to always be the topmost / frontmost window when running XD. This is a problem because it deviates from standard window behavior on a mac.
If a program has multiple windows that I can minimize or dismiss, then I should be able to bring any window to the forefront by simply selecting it. All other windows should then automatically stay open but appear behind the topmost window.
I just want XD to follow standard practice on the mac. I'm very comfortable switching between windows using cmd+~ or using the 'window' menu in the toolbar.

Tile Background Images
There needs to be an option, on Prototype mode, to "tile" background images.
For example: this Adobe XD web page has a background image (or DIV) that repeats on the x-axis no matter how wide the browser window is (dark gray, horizontal top-bar).
That feature would make the prototypes look as cloase as possible to what a web page would actually look in the wild.
Thank you!
