  1. Frequent freezes and crashes

    It feels like you really rushed this latest release (2.0.32.10) out the door. I'm having stability problems galore.

    App freezes while I'm working. Unsure if these are related to the Type tool issues reported previously, but I am using the pointer and other tools when this happens.

    I can't accurately reproduce the bug, but I can say that the decline is gradual. First, I cannot save via CTRL-S. Second, any selection of other tools no longer registers on the artboard. The hamburger menu at top left does not open. Eventually, the entire app just freezes and I'm forced to restart.

      The team is hard at work investigating these issues.

      If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to update your video card drivers. Also, check BlockProtocolElevation is not enabled
      ● Registry Hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USERHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER
      ● Registry Path Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations
      ● Value Name BlockProtocolElevation
      ● Value Type REG_DWORD
      ● Enabled Value 0(If this is set to 1, Set it to 0 )
      ● launch XD.

      If you’re still experiencing this issue, the following log files would help our investigation a lot:
      - Enable crash dumps, https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb787181(v=vs.85).aspx
      - DxDiag file (Start menu>DxDiag, follow prompts)
      - Creative Cloud logs, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html

        @Paul and @Daniel Vianna: Can you file separate bug reports for your issues? They’re different than the one in this post. Please provide the following:
        - XD version
        - OS version
        - GPU manufacturer
        - Detailed steps on what you’re trying to accomplish and where you encounter the issue. If possible screen grabs or videos to illustrate the problem

          Greetings:

          If you are still experiencing the issue in this report, t would be very helpful if you could send us the PDApp.log file from your local system, so we can work to prevent this from happening again in the future. This log file contains information that can help us understand the cause of some types of sharing errors.

          There are a couple different ways you can get the PDApp.log file:

          If you are comfortable using Terminal, you can find the file at the following path: ~/Library/Logs/PDApp.log

          If you’d rather navigate to the file through Finder, you can use the Go menu to access the folder that contains it:
          Switch to Finder
          Choose Go > Go to Folder… from the main menu
          Enter: ~/Library/Logs
          The PDApp.log file will be in the Logs folder

          Once you’ve located the PDApp.log file, please post or send via email ramoshar@adobe.com

        • [Android] Font not found: Roboto

          Using the Android XD app, when I display a prototype that uses Roboto I get a message: Font not Found Roboto Regular/Medium/Bold/etc. and all text uses Roboto Regular.

            Hello Fellow XD’ers!

            Please note the following:
            - Fonts are not embedded in the file
            - Font display defaults to Roboto on Android devices (default font)
            - File viewed from Creative Cloud folder, fonts will be shown as missing.
            Copyright law restricts any font file copying.
            - File viewed from USB, should show fonts as selected in file. Exception: cases when font files are restricted via protected licenses.

            Be sure to review the font license info for the type you’re working with for expected device support.

            The message noting Roboto can’t be found may be indicating there are other fonts on the file and XD mobile is erroneously reporting the font as missing. But it should still display Roboto on the device.

          • Repeat Grid clips / cuts off lines & path strokes

            1. 0.5.0.4 Beta
            2. draw horizontal line, use repeat grid, drag y-handle
            3. first child line stroke should be visible
            4. first child line stroke is clipped from the center

            • Repeat grid cuts off shadow of element

              When making a new repeat grid with element that has shadow (like a box with content in it and shadow), repeat grid masks out shadow of that element. See image attached for example.

              • Hotkeys stop working

                Version 0.6.32.12 Beta [Win]

                Hotkeys (Shift+Ctrl+[, Shift+Ctrl+], Ctrl+C) stop working suddenly. Unfortunately, I cannot provide steps to reproduce situation, but it just happens. Reopening app fixes this.

                  Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Are you working on a multi-language system? If so, it may be that somehw the keyboard language is being changed and thus they hotkey mapping. If id you get a chance to review the video that Joe linked, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ15xqj2jbo

                  If your issue is different, can you share the following:
                  - DxDiag: in search field, enter DxDiag and follow screens to save file. Post file to shared location.
                  - Does cut operation work from context menu?

                  Any chance you can share a video that shows the eyedropper not functioning?

                  • [Windows] Panning with the space bar does not work on certain hardware (#G14776)

                    Like many other Adobe applications, XD relies on the space bar to engage a temporary hand mode, which allows you to pan through your file quickly and reliably. Unfortunately, this fails on some Windows 10 machines due to system-wide track pad settings. In order to use the hand mode, hold the space bar down and press and let go of another key (like the Alt key). Then, while holding onto the space bar, pan as usual. Alternatively, change the Palm Check Threshold in the Mouse & Touchpad system settings.

                    • [Mac] Undo occasionally grays out

                      Every time I hit command Z for undo it is not working at all for me. I have tried with multiple elements, but it ignores the shortcut & file menu item as well. I then have to delete the whole artboard and start over. This error happens when trying to undo any change to an element, delete, import, etc.

                        If this is still happening for you, please try the following:
                        1. Exit XD, log out of Creative Cloud app.
                        2. Restart system, log back into Creative Cloud app and work in XD

                        If issue persists, there may be something wrong with the license validation for the app. To fix, run Creative Cloud cleaner, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

                        • Share online is extremely slow

                          Since latest updates Share online option works extremely slow.

                          It takes now hours to upload a single prototype of 10 pages. My whole project is 13 megabytes.

                            • [Win 10 Fall Creators Update] Use of the "Bring to Front" (or Back) keyboard shortcut jams the shift key if Ctrl is pressed first

                              b) Select one of them

                              • Can't reinstall XD. Exit Code: 183

                                XD was working fine Thursday (latest version). Friday morning, I get error instructing me to uninstall then reinstall. Fails every time.

                                  I walked through this issue for many angry hours too and what helped me was this:

                                  1) uninstall Adobe XD,
                                  2) uninstall Adobe CC,
                                  3) delete OOBE folder in c:\users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
                                  4) ensure the Environment Variables for Path has SystemRoot;%SystemRoot%\system32
                                  5) Download Adobe CC from adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html
                                  6) Sign-in in Adobe CC
                                  7) Install Adobe XD via Adobe CC

                                  Hope it will help to someone else.

                                • Fonts not loading from Font Managers

                                  About my Computer:
                                  Surface Pro 2017 i7 16GBram
                                  Windows 10 Version 1703 Build 15063.540

                                  1. Experience Design CC (Beta) v. 0.8.22

                                  2. Launch a Font Manager (Fontbase or NexusFont), Open existing or new project in XD, Select existing text or create new text, click on font list dropdown on XD.

                                  3. Fonts loaded on Font Manager (Fontbase or NexusFont) SHOULD appear in the font list dropdown in XD.

                                  4. Fonts loaded on Font Manager (Fontbase or NexusFont) DOES NOT appear in the font list dropdown in XD.

                                  • Stroke Alignment - inside/outside stroke imports from AI as separate fill

                                    XD currently appears to only understand "center" aligned stroked objects (pasted from AI). It does not appear to recognize "inside" nor "outside" stroke alignments, as they are treated more or less as fills

                                      I press share new link, and the progress just stopped at 0%. Waited 10 mins and still nothing.

                                      I see other people addressing the same issues, but you said you fixed them. But from here, I am still experiencing these problems. Here's a screenshot to show you what I mean.

                                      • XD app shuts down/closes itself when not using

                                        On Windows 10, when navigating away from the app (checking emails or whatever), upon trying to return to XD, it is no longer open. The XD app shuts itself down in the background.

                                          Hi, John-

                                          When you’re doing something CPU or RAM-intensive, Windows 10 will kill existing processes in order to retain performance. We can try to triage to see if this is what is happening for you, but this is expected behavior for the operating system.

                                        • XD shouldn't stop Android File Transfer from working

                                          1. Version 0.6.2.7
                                          2. Download Android file transfer (https://www.android.com/filetransfer/)
                                          Open androidfiletransfer.dmg.
                                          Drag Android File Transfer to Applications.
                                          Use the USB cable that came with your Android device and connect it to your Mac.
                                          3. Expect Adobe XD to not interfere with process at all, but it only worked if I uninstalled XD from BOTH my phone AND my computer.
