Typographic features
• can't edit any part of text separately . Try to give different weight, style, size or color any piece of text, this changes whole text.
• can't kern any text
• can't give a line height *this is vital
• can't reach glyph
Hey everyone,
you can now set multiple range styles on a single text field as well as line spacing.

I got here via https://forums.adobe.com/message/8718174#8718174 at the suggestion of an Adobe rep. This is the exact opposite of what the now closed ticket asked about. :-/
Web design rarely needs character-by-character control, we need paragraph styles (block elements) and character styles (inline) just like we have in CSS -- until then InDesign still works best for comping text consistently across pages.

I think it’s reasonable to say that, given the role XD needs to fill in the workflow, a full stuite of typography controls is essential.
Images can be adequately addressed in other apps but, for type, the prototyping tool is it.
So, if it ain’t done in XD, it ain’t done. The single biggest gap in web development right now is the need for a complete conceptualization and visualization tool, and XD is at least moving in the direction of filling some of that gap.
The area of web building is mature — the cycle of advancement is robust.
Tthe next paradigm is a complete suite of conceptualization and visualization tools that feed effectvely and efficiently into the build process. That part of the industry, until now, has fallen off the back of the truck.

Not sure why we would need to upvote other requests. You guys now know the importance of having more control over typography...
Think about the context in which your users are performing these tasks... We are AT WORK. Dont really have all day to putz around helping out... kinda just need you guys to implement the important stuff to make our days easier... not more difficult.

still no glyph support which means we can't use the vast library of font icons. This is a standard method of operating and allows us to avoid having to make symbols and library assets needlessly bloating projects and wasting time opening another program finding the font icon, then expanding it at a set size and saving it to the library only to open it in XD. Please provide glyph panel and support.

It's great that the feature is finished. Doesn't work in Windows, though. It would be great to see which features are rolled out in Windows and which just in Mac. The window of opportunity for Adobe is on Windows now, because that's where competition is lacking! But it won't be open forever...

My XD is up to date but I did not see this feature...!

I cannot see this feature on my current window version. Would love to edit part of text separately which makes life so much easier.

Superscript, subscript and underlines - then this would be great.

It would be incredible if one could set a vertical baseline as part of all typographic styles and have XD help sticking to that.

Would be very welcome. At least upper/lowercase and an editable underline. The ability to edit partial/selected text only (breaking it into parts once edited) would be amazing.

Please add small caps, they are sorely needed for things like small headings or footer. UI typefaces like Segoe UI, San Francisco and Roboto all have small caps so it's important to be able to access those.

Small caps, superscript, and sub-script, please.

And I'd like to second the people asking for colour; not having it is just shameful.

We also need underlining, small caps, and virtually anything else that can easily be set with CSS or some basic programming skills. You could get the leg up with Sketch on this one.

The full line height feature is very important. Here is a request detailing it: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/13813872-line-height-should-function-as-it-does-on-the-web
In my own experience why is it important? Not having the line height reflected in the container makes useless the distance defined in the design. For instance, if a change the line of a 10px word from 12px (the auto one) to 20px, and I add a top margin of 10px, then I should specify that the top margin is actually 6px - because the container is still 12px high, instead of 20px.
