:) Sorry to have removed this. We will bring it back, but, found that it was hardly ever used, yet, it took up almost half of our publish dialog. We were adding options to this screen, so, we wanted to simplify. Getting a thumbnail into a prototype was honestly a bit painful (dragging one in). We plan on making this workflow better by allowing you to select an artboard or at least use a file picker. So, we took this away until we get to the better workflow.

We will bring it back at some point. Code hasn't been deleted!

Thank you for your feedback. Just to be clear, your suggestion is to order the artboards by the order they show up in the Layers panel. Is that correct?

Thanks for the feedback Jonathan. It is something we have heard in the past. I'm reviewing this with the team.

Hi, thanks for being persistent about getting this issue logged and sending over your screenshots. If you don't mind, could you send the XD file to me so we can have the team take a look? tan@adobe.com. Thanks!

There was some negative feedback received when we removed the navigation arrows from prototypes, so, this change was reverted and other solutions are being considered.

We did change it in the past few months to show arrows all the time. It sounds like people don't like this change. We were trying to allow users to navigate home easily at any time. I'm guessing, we should have allowed the home icon at all times, but, not arrows? Is that what people want?

If there are no arrows (because you have interactions, should you be able to navigate with your arrow keys?

This should be enabled when we allow for scrollable groups/objects.

    joan_lafferty commented  ·

This is part of the plan when we allow for scrollable objects.

    joan_lafferty commented  ·

Since we will be doing about monthly updates, you will begin to see scrolling functionality trickle into future updates, but, it won't all be available at once.

First, we are planning to simply allow scrolling of artboards created from device templates. So, if you picked an iPhone 6 artboard, made it longer, it should just automatically scroll.

After that, we'll be working on a much larger endeavor to make any group you select scrollable. This scrollable group (whether it is a Repeat Grid or anything else) will have options for you to edit its size and contents. You'll also be able to scroll on the drawing canvas and the preview window.

There will be much tigher integration with AI and PS once we integrate CC Libraries. That is coming later this year.

    joan_lafferty commented  ·

Thanks for the feedback. There are a couple of specific requests that you can weigh in on regarding PS and AI integration. Vote on it there as it helps us to prioritize these requests individually as we decide what to work on and what use cases to support.

The functionality to add anchor points is integrated into the pen tool rather than having a separate tool. With any shape selected, double click to enter path editing mode. Clicking on any part of a path will add an additional anchor point.

As a workaround for this featire you can make your home artboard an “index” page which links to the different views/subsets of your design. When you share your design and visit the URL you can click through to the real home artboards and copy the URL (each artboard has it’s own URL on the shared link). You can then share these URLs to link people to a subset of your design.

We hope to be able to formalize this feature in the future.

    joan_lafferty commented  ·

In our next release, we will allow a user to create a "New URL" to share. This will keep the previous one in tact and give you another public URL that can be your other version of the app.

This functionality is expected to land in April.

Thanks for your feedback. More controls over animation is certainly coming. We are planning to first introduce scrolling of prototypes and then more controls over changing the state of objects in your artboards.

Please continue to comment with your particular use cases that you would like to see supported with regards to animation support.

How do you see an XD document translating to an InDesign file?

    Hi Jessica,

You can Option+click and use your mouse to duplicate objects now, but, yes, you cannot use the arrow keys to duplicate, at the moment.
