  1. I have to tiles next to each other, that each have a hover state. But since the hover state is bigger than the original tile and it streches across the neighboring tile, i can only ever correctly show the hover on one tile. The other tile (which is layered above the first tile) hides part of it.

    This is very annoying, because I cannot properly show the supposed interaction.

    I need to be able to select something like "on hover select state 'hover' and bring element to front"

    It is fine to drag a map. But drag interaction of an item snapped on the map won't work…

  3. Repetition grid are awesome, we know it. It works well with PC (mouse interaction) since the hover is immediatly looking for the hover state of a component.

    It's less magical when trying to navigate a grid with controller where the hover is not accessible.

    We should have preset that understand that using dpad/joystick navigation in the grid toggle hover state on/off without having to define in the prototype view the very bulky :

    • Press Dpad left (joystick left) go to state Hover on button 2
    • Press Dpad bottom (joystick bottom) go to state Hover on button 4 ...

  4. There used to be a way where I could see a total number of artboards that I've created, but since the latest update (or two) I can no longer find out how many artboards are in my flow. I have over 250 and I'd prefer not to have to count them all. Has it been moved somewhere else perhaps? It was very useful. Cheers. Great product by the way. Amazing, really. It's a joy to use.

  5. I use XD almost every day for wireframing and prototyping game interfaces for both mobile, PC, and console games. For mobile and PC games I'm pretty happy with the current feature set but I feel like there are a few improvements that would really help those doing UX for console games. Here are a few points, in particular, I'd love to see improved.

  6. In prototyping I need to be able to have an interaction transition not just between artboards but to a specific object on a different artboard. For instance prototyping a light box pop up, it needs to be able to be closed and take me back to the button I clicked to open it. This is a really common style of interaction. There are workarounds but they reduce the "realness" of the prototype when presenting.

    Apologies for not getting back to you sooner on this. One thing that you might want to try for the lightbox scenario is to create an overlay, which would then lock the artboard behind you. When it dismisses, it returns to the original state. Also, we released a toggle state shortcut that will automatically create linkages between two states back and forth, so it should help with your second question. Let us know if this doesn't answer your question.

  7. This would solve a problem I'm currently having with Adobe XD. I'm unable to create a transition that would preserve the scroll position within a scroll group.

  10. Right now, the creation of a carousel or 'choose one item' list requires you to have a different COPY of your artboard for each possible iteration of that carousel/list. If you want to showcase 3 multi-artboard interactions in a mockup (if each carousel has 5 images, you need to copy your artboar 125 times, just to show that, without any other bells and whistles).
    In contrast, if you could have an artboard group that is JUST the possible states for 1 carousel, then group those artboards into a single component. Then you only need 1 main artboard (for your app/webpage)…

  11. We need to be able to set prototype interactions based on visible content.
    Currently, if a larger object [a] is covered (via z-order) by a smaller object [b], a prototype interaction assigned to [a] will be active when the cursor hovers over [b]. This is not the typical expected behavior with regard to click or mouse over events.

    Example:
    In the attached image, there is a modal dialog [b].
    We would want to assign Tap interactions objects within the dialog.
    We would also want to assign a Tap event to the area outside the dialog. In this case, tapping outside…

  13. I want to prototype a PDF or other document viewer allowing the user to scroll through a 2-3 page document (images arranged like pages) and then direct them to select the target text on the document.

    Telling a user to select the text, they naturally want to drag to highlight and select the text as they would in a text editor or viewer.

  14. Designing a menu with different states and the possibility of scrolling to a particular section by touching any of its options is currently impossible.

    For example, if what I need is to show the user in which section he is browsing , what im going to do is to show the name of the section with another color.
    So what im going to do is create different states in order to have all the menu categories active when the user taps on each.
    The problem is when I want to prototype those categories to scroll over the same artboard .

  16. Would be great if we had a hover out trigger, so that will be activated when we leave the element.

    That would make so more realistic to handle state changes, especially whem we have many states in our component.

  17. Make auto counters a thing so that a numbered component/list can automatically change when a certain trigger is applied. Example: When adding items to a shopping cart, the number on the cart icon automatically changes when the button is clicked instead of having to manually create a list of numbers and different states for each one.

  18. Different size of main and overlay artboard causes big problem with prototype. If contents of overlay isn't bigger then a main artboard why shoud I design whole new overlay for responsive design?

  19. When designing for PCs or Macs, having the ability to trigger actions for mouse buttons would be helpful. Especially left, right, and middle buttons.

    I am using Adobe XD for game interaction design and this feature would be helpful.

  20. I'm brazilian and I'm using Adobe Xd in English.
    I don't know why but the speech playback is speaking in Brazilian portuguese, but I wanted it to be in English.

    Let us choose the language of the speech playback. Let us choose between the available languages in the Help > Language menu.

    The playback is currently linked to the settings in your operating system, so to change to English, you should change your OS setting to English. I’ll leave this open and adjust it to reflect your request of setting the playback language to the setting in XD.
