  1. Currently we can only choose Link Assets from Adobe Creative Cloud. It would be very useful to connect to other cloud services such as DropBox and OneDrive.

  2. It would be nice to have a settings panel where I could choose whether 'Send to Back' sent objects to the very back or just to the most recent locked layer. Still, I almost always find myself creating large background images that I want to lock in place, and then sending objects behind them, and then having to pull them back forward by one.

Maybe I'm the only one who does this, or maybe it's not a very realistic request. Still, thought I'd put it into the ether just in case.

  3. Animated Zoom (cmd or ctrl + click + left/right panning) needs to be implemented - like in Illustrator.

I am insanely annoyed that this feature is not implemented, zooming in & out is a function that is used thousands of times a day.

Lightroom has one set of zoom functions.
Photoshop has one set of zoom functions.
XD has one set of zoom functions.

    Some overlap, some don't.

    This is stupid.

Please implement features that demonstrate consistency among your suite of apps.

  4. When making an app specific xd repo from the master brand repo, i should be able to import all assets through the specific xd repo into my new prototype.

Now i can only link assets from doc 1 in doc 2, for flexibility towards design systems in complicated structures i would like to link from doc 1 into doc 2 via doc 3.

    Eg:

    doc 1 (main brand)
    - brand
    - typography
    - iconography
    - ui main brand (atomic)

    doc 2 (subbrand collection):
    - ui sub brand (atomic)
    - doc 1

    doc 3 (prototype sub brand)
    - doc 2

  5. Replacing Elements. It would be ideal if you could click on any element, graphic or text and right click to get the option replace that element with another graphic etc, rather than only having the option to delete it and then cut and paste and resize and reposition a new graphic element. It would also be nice if we could add sound and video as well.

  6. As a designer, Boolean operations are a must have. I can't create nice clean curves/shapes for icons without the full boolean operations.

So at this moment, Adobe XD have the four basic Boolean Operation and this is not enough to produce complex shapes in some cases.

We need all the boolean operations to be included in addition to the included ones, see the attachment please so you can understand what I mean.

    Thank you!

  7. When selecting multiple elements, show the number of select groups, and/or elements that are selected.

This helps when dealing with too much content, and you really need to know how much elements you have, so you can align them correctly or space them around with the right spacing.

  8. I frequently (at least once/day) hit CMD-V when I'm reaching for CMD-B while editing text. If I have an object on my clipboard, XD inserts the raw SVG code into my text area. (OK, Maybe using my left hand for B is bad typing form, but I'm old and it's never going to change)

This is especially annoying if the clipboard contents are large, as my system grinds to a halt for several seconds, preventing a quick CMD-Z.

I can't think of a scenario when this behavior would be desirable. I get the value of copying SVG, but the paste…

  9. Problem: I often think I'm missing certain weights of a font because the dropdown fails to indicate the list is longer than the initial view.

    Solutions:

    1) Remove the height limitation on the dropdown — show me everything!

    2) If that's impossible, at least show me a scroll bar, or have the text masked at the edge of the box to indicate the option to scroll. And start me at the beginning of the list if possible — very confusing to be started like 3 items into the list

I think when I try to view my page in xd I need to have zoom in or out to find my page but if it will be slide like powerpoint it will be easier to find my page

without zooming in out until I get my slide

  11. It would be great if XD had a shape builder like Illustrator to more easily build more complex shapes. This would allow me to stay within just one application instead of having to use multiple applications. The standard boolean operators just don't cut it.

  13. Issue: Unable to scroll / pan & zoom out without keyboard in the design mode

As demonstrated in the screengrab, I wasn't able to pan in the design mode without using keyboard. At ~00:20 I also tried the usual panning technique as in other Adobe applications (PS, ID, Ai, etc), that is to click and drag the mouse from any point on canvas to outside the currently visible area of the canvas, but I wasn't able to.

I was able to scroll vertically using mouse wheel but to do horizontal scrolling Adobe XD forces us to use a keyboard. There…

  14. Instead of knowing or learning the exact color code, HEX/RGB, it would be really great to actually work with the HUE, saturation and/or black level.
Within the design system that I've created, the primary color is 204 on the HUE level and every other blue color will have that starting point.
In Adobe XD, I cannot change the HUE level based on an actual number, but by guessing, which is frustrating and a wrong way of working — I'm currently working with PS opened, just so I be able to work with a proper color picker.

  16. In photoshop, you can hold alt and use the up and down/left and right arrows to adjust kerning, line height, baseline height, etc. Can these be added to XD?

  17. Include a "find font" panel like in Adobe Illustrator to globally replace one font with another. Even with the symbol/assets panel this is hard for documents that you did not architect and may require a lot of extra work (i.e. the iOS UI kits in a windows environment where San Francisco font has to be downloaded from third party sources and converted manually to .ttf)
