This would be handy but I bet it's harder to implement. "Fixed" is a simple CSS style element that can be applied at runtime. "Fixed IF" requires javascript logic and a user-generated variable.

Either way, XD gods, please consider!

This is very confusing. Are you talking about grouping CC Library assets like Illustrator and After Effects do?

I would wager that a great deal of us who use XD are using it while working for an agency that has specific policies about where and how to save working files.

    I know that I do.

DO NOT ASSUME THAT WE ALL WANT TO SAVE TO THE CLOUD. Command+S or Control+S has meant SAVE TO MY HARD DRIVE for over 20 years. DON'T CHANGE IT.

XD is one of my favorite design tools. It's made me loathe working in Photoshop. But, for a UX/UI tool, the rigid interface and workflow is extremely frustrating and surprising.

I suggest a swift and meaty upgrade to the following:

Dock-able tool pallets - working with layers and the library of elements we've created is painstaking slow, resulting in millions of wasted clicks back-and-forth in a constant search for layers and components. (see UX, workflow, and panel preference control of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animator, and AfterEffects)

Ability to show thumbnails of components at any size for easy identification - identifying components would be simpler and quicker if the thumbnails were larger (see Photoshop layers panel icon size preferences)

Ability to darken workspace - and accessibility feature that every major brand UX is embracing (see Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animator, and AfterEffects, Chrome, Gmail, Apple everything, Microsoft Office, etc)

Ability to access and work with component states and layers more easily - navigating component states and the layers within in is a challenge. When changing states, folders close and layers refresh. If your component is made of several nested layers, the workflow of editing the states of a component becomes a tedious process of back-and-forth layer hunting.

The upgrade to the component system you made in the last year have been game changing, but frustrations and bottlenecks in workflow are a making working with XD slower and less enjoyable.

Yes, please! The option to force XD to quantize to whole pixels would be very useful. Yes, it's a vector-based workflow, but the output is in pixels. Quantizing to whole pixels would aid in graphic sharpness as well as clearly directing developer partners.

    **SEE ATTACHED VIDEO**

    **PROBLEM:**
When browsing through the states of a component, the component closes and you can no longer see the folders and layers of the component.

    **RESOLUTION:**
When working out the states of a complex interaction, or revising the layers of an existing component, it would be really helpful if the folder structure of the component remained exposed while browsing through the component's states.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Full text and paragraph support akin to functionality found in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator would be appreciated and greatly speed up workflow.

Yes! If layers are locked we should be able to selected unlocked layers beneath the locked layers.

I also agree with Robin King's point in a post before mine - it is very convenient to be able to select locked layers to quickly unlock or get info about them. It would be great to add a option or control or alt to the click to select locked layers and/or a right click menu allowing selection of locked layers.

    Please/Thank You!
