Fucking hell. Why do you guys keep changing the standard save button hot keys. It ruins my work flow and now I need to spend an hour online to search how to turn this shit off, shit that I didn't even want turned on in the first place.

Maybe when you add new features you should give the option to change is to that new feature in the preferences instead of overriding people's short cuts that people have been working with for 20 years.

First it's ctr+s to some other export bullshit and now it's this cloud saving bullshit.

Adobe there are many users who don't need your expensive cloud service. Please local files to be the default option.

Save locally should, clearly, be the default.

Save to Adobe's silly and unnecessary server system should be an opt-in preference.

How about "check in to git repo"? That might actually be useful.

Unfortunately, Adobe does this for * reasons * and whey won't change it, you can bet on it. There are serious bugs and a lot of broken ux-related things, and they won't even lift a finger. Meanwhile - more *flashy super-duper important features nobody needs or wants* and gazillion copy-n-paste responses on 3-year old bugs.

Do yourself a favor and change to any other software (I know, but still that's one of the best options out there).

I second this! It's annoying to care about where the document is saved while using a very common shortcut which usual behavior is to save locally

Also, please stop requiring us to use 4-key shortcuts to simply save to our local computers. (CMD+ALT+SHIFT+S).

For an UX app, these are pretty significant UX failures.

Believe it or not, many of us have been using design software for decades, and we would like to work the way we have worked for years without having new ideologies forced upon us.

Please stop pushing users to save in the cloud. We know how we want to work, let us choose.

Right now any time we start a new doc, Xd automatically saves in the cloud with no input from the user.

Also, forcing us to use a 4-key (Cmd+Alt+Shift+S) keyboard combination to save locally (vs Cmd+S) is ridiculous.

Please stop forcing this new wave of ideologies on users who have supported Adobe for decades.

At minimum, we need the ability to configure these options so it works like every other program we've used for years.

The default UNCHANGABLE saving of XD files to the adobe cloud drive IS MADDENING!!! Many changes I had in a presentation didnt copy over nad it was completeluy embarrasing. I'm so annoyed that I cant change thisin preferences

I highly doubt this is a well intentioned change. It seems designed to hide the fact that you can save locally by obscuring it and making cloud storage the default. My internet was down today, I couldn't figure out how to save my work locally. Defaulting to cloud storage (adobes cloud storage at that) appears to be an intentional decision to increase the users reliance on their subscription to adobe, unless you can still access your cloud storage without an active subscription this feels very shady.

This has been an issue for far too long for Adobe not to address it properly. The addition of a non-standard, four-key option to save files locally is ridiculous, meaning it is absolutely worthy of ridicule, especially because it's not the default. For a company as old as Adobe, relatively speaking, this is an obvious mistake to a decades-long, industry-wide common save function and should be corrected immediately.

A few moments ago I got off a chat with an Adobe representative after trying to access Preferences of some sort to turn off cloud-based saves entirely for new files since it's so invasive. Of course there are no Preferences at all in XD, so my efforts were wasted. But I did get one response that shows how little Adobe thinks of our complaints about their "feature." From the chat transcript, the associate wrote: "Yes that is possible if you work without Internet connection however when you connect back to the Internet it will ask you to update the changes". You read that right: Adobe's rep says the single way to turn off their cloud-based auto save for new files feature is to... disconnect from the Internet.

SMH in frustration.

Add the ability to deactivate the default cloud saving in your settings.

This is so important. I've lost hours of work because it failed saving to the cloud (when I thought I was safely saving locally).

I would wager that a great deal of us who use XD are using it while working for an agency that has specific policies about where and how to save working files.

DO NOT ASSUME THAT WE ALL WANT TO SAVE TO THE CLOUD. Command+S or Control+S has meant SAVE TO MY HARD DRIVE for over 20 years. DON'T CHANGE IT.

Yep. I also work at a company that prohibits saving anything with sensitive proprietary material on non-local servers. After that XD update, I inadvertently saved several documents to the cloud (in violation of that policy) over the course of a week, and had no idea I had been doing so. I feel lucky that I even noticed it after a week, and *only* had to go back and re-save a half dozen or so documents locally and delete them from the cloud, and that it didn't result in more significant problems (up to and including losing my job).

Even now that I know, I've still tripped up a few times because the muscle memory to auto-save or Save As... is taking time to unlearn, and have still accidentally saved to the cloud multiple times. And of course not having the option to open local files from XD's launch screen is unnecessarily cumbersome.

I get that there are nice features and functionality that are only available with the cloud, but some companies simply aren't going to entrust their data to your servers. It's pretty user-hostile to make designers at those companies have to jump through hoops to actively avoid cloud saves because of how aggressively you're pushing it.

Adobe needs to stop strong-arming my company's business practices. Re-assigning all of the shortcuts and defaults to cloud storage is going to push my team away from adobe xd. Which means no more benefit for other adobe products. No more team budget spending thousands on MAX attendance. no more adobe.

And now today you've COMPLETED REMOVED the open from my computer option within the product. Your REALLY shoving users out the door with the latest rounds of money grabbing. I've been loyal to adobe for DECADES and i'm about to switch our whole team. this is ridiculous. XD has made one bad decision after another in regards to file management, and what i originally thought was neglectful has been come complete harassment of users. And the answer? " Just hit FOUR KEYS as a shortcut, but the option no one wants in the shortcut you've been using 20 years. just adapt though. "

How dare you, Adobe? You have hijacked a ubiquitous keystroke to automatically save proprietary files to the cloud, putting the security of my documents and my job (which forbids any and all forms of cloud storage) at risk.

I have the exact same problem. This is not user friendly imo
