Also note: this is closely related to https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13623243-change-spacing-between-objects-by-dragging -- which is about setting spacing _visually_ by dragging or resizing on canvas.

Note: you should be able to do spacing evenly already using the Object > Distribute commands in Adobe XD. I think that's similar to the "Evenly" option in Fireworks (if not, please let us know how you'd like XD's Distribute commands to be different).

I've edited the title of this request to focus on the piece that's totally missing in XD: setting spacing to a specific value in pixels.

This is something we’d like to get more feedback on.

    a) Some apps (such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign) behave the way XD does now: reducing fill opacity (not overall object opacity) keeps the whole shadow visible but reduces its opacity in proportion with the fill color’s opacity. At zero fill opacity, the shadow is completely gone along with the fill (unless you have a border, in which case you have a thin ring-shaped shadow left).

    b) Other apps (such as Photoshop or Sketch) behave differently: reducing fill opacity leaves the shadow’s opacity at full strength, but clips the shadow so you don’t see it through the translucent fill. At zero fill opacity, in the middle of the shape you can see what’s behind it completely unobscured, but outside the shape’s edges you still see the drop shadow at full strength.

Which one do people prefer? Do you need to…

James: just fyi, XD does support blurring on shapes. Just open the dropdown where it says "Background Blur" and change it to "Object Blur."

Thanks for the clarification, Sascha. I've tweaked the description above to help make that more clear.

As a workaround, note that you can hold down Shift to snap the angle of the control points' tangent line to 15-degree increments. This might help a bit, at least, with keeping your control points consistently placed.

Note: as a workaround, you can use Cmd-1 as a shortcut to zoom to 100% -- you can do that with your left hand without taking your right hand off the mouse.

I've edited the original description a bit to focus on the "task list" aspect specifically.

The other pieces of UXpin-like functionality that were mentioned in the description are tracked as separate suggestions here:

    * Record every click user makes while using prototype: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12939333-record-screen-clicks-while-using-shared-prototype
    * Record user's face while using prototype: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12939339-record-video-of-users-face-while-using-shared-prototype

If you're interested in those features, please upvote these links too. Thanks!

Note: there’s a limited version of this feature already available. If you select an existing piece of text and then leave it selected while you use the Text tool to create new text, its style will match the piece of text you had selected.

Note: if Adobe XD supports a notion of component "states" in the future (see https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13031871-multiple-states-inside-symbols), I'd expect this feature would let custom keyboard triggers drive the state of a single component/symbol on the artboard too, rather than just transitioning to a whole new artboard as described above.

The first thing you're suggesting -- drag to adjust the spacing between a selected set of artboards -- is already covered by request https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13623243-resize-spacing-between-objects.

Could you please upvote that one since you're interested in it? I'll edit the title of your request here so it's focused specifically on your other suggestion -- a preference to change the _default_ spacing between artboards (when pasting or using the Artboard tool).

See also https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12957801-simplified-view-of-artboard-interaction-links-overview-of-flow -- which is less about arranging the artboards spatially for you and more about cleaning up the visualization of all the links between them. People interested in this auto-arrange request may also be interested in that idea.

Just to be clear - it is definitely possible to copy-paste between different document windows in Adobe XD already. You just have to switch between the windows via the Window menu or Cmd-` unless you've manually arranged them so you can just click between them quickly. (This request is about auto-arranging the windows that way).

The order the artboards are currently listed in is "reading order": it will list artboards in the topmost row left to right, then move on to the next row of artboards below that (starting with the leftmost artboard again), etc.

I agree it would be valuable to have the ability to see them listed alphabetically though -- or maybe even type part of a name to filter the list.

Just to be clear -- are you using the Preview window within Adobe XD, or are you viewing a shared prototype in your browser on a real physical mobile device?
