Hide cursor when recording a prototype video
I would like to be able to hide my cursor when I am recording a video of a prototype.

There are few essential requests like this one, that have been open for years. It's beyond my understanding how XD-Team is prioritizing what will they work on, but it is very disappointing we have to beg for something like this.
I would just suggest, if this request ever gets accepted, that the option should be to show the cursor on the screen for the ease of navigating a prototype, but hide it in the recorded video.
Imagine what could be done with that video afterwards. It could be put back in the xd and we could start creating some fancy things.
I think the XD Team could implement this feature without a problem, but there is something else in play here. Maybe they don't want to give too much power to XD, so they don't cannibalise the features of some other apps in the suit (e.g. Aftereffects). If this is the case, then I think it's a completely wrong approach, because sooner or later the competition will catch up (this has already happened btw) and users will leave.

YES PLEASE
in Windows it shows the computer cursor, no client likes that, it's horrible. At least Mac gets the lesser eyesore, with that finger pointer that kind of guides the eye to what's being pressed where....

Simply use a different type of interaction instead of "tap" select "Key and Gamepad" and use right arrow as a key.

I too want to add my name to this request.
I have two tips that have worked as nice workarounds.
- You can use voice commands to trigger interactions without the mouse being visible.
- You can create your sequence in a linear form, and have it all play from a blank screen with a single button, and use delays to slow things down where needed. Then, at the end, you can just crop out the frame where the initial button was by just editing the video. -

Eureka!!! Use your translator friends.

Agree this would be great. I'm mocking up an OTT experience and having the cursor is not needed

Adding to that, it would be better if we can add the fingerpoint (a circle) to show where we tap/slide/drag when recording on mobile view.

Agree. I would highly appreciate the option to disable the cursor while recording as well.

Yes, this is almost a no-brainer. Can't believe 1.5 years on, this is still not an option. The "Preferences..." menu item is embarrassingly grayed out.
Luckily, I found, I can at least capture on my iPhone itself, without these dumb dots. The intention is to animate whole UI journeys, and put them in a AE project, output to video as an internal corporate pitch. Best case would have been just capture on my computer. But, alas, all these hoops to jump through because of one missing checkbox option! Please, Adobe designers, please... cheers!

Adobe XD should have the option to enable/ disable the click animation while recording the prototype video. As animation feature is increasing day by day, we also do some generic animations where clicking animations not needed.

Needing to simulate vocal interaction, for example adding some audio to the file .mov, it could be useful to disable the touch feedback during recording.
