  1. It'd be amazing to be able to embed a shared prototype so clients, users can interact with it.

  3. Currently the UI kits are accessible only from the "Welcome" screen.
    However, I'd like to be able to open a new design and open a UI kit (or sample file) at the same time.

  5. since there is no layers tab, it is crucial to have a feature that allows the user to arrange objects to:

    • bring to front
    • bring forward
    • send backward
    • send to back

    I'm aware that these are in the menu under Object, but please make them more accessible in the UI, if I have to go into the menu every time to arrange objects it will slow down the user's work flow!

    In our June 2016 release, you will be able to use the context menu (right click) to arrange your item. For now, you can use the menu under Object as mentioned, or shortcuts (CMD + ] to Bring Forward, or CMD + [ to send Backward).

  6. Allow the user to add a password to shared prototypes.

    With the launch of the Padding feature in XD 26, you can add padding to a group. This controls the background of the group, or if it has no background it adds safe-space to the object.

    That safe-space translates over as a hotspot in prototype mode, enabling you to interact with areas that are larger than the visible shape.

    Learn more about the new padding feature here: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/set-fixed-padding-for-components-groups.html

  9. Would like to have an option for NO transition effect. Dissolve transition effect looks awkward when just wanting to toggle between buttons in playing the prototype.

  10. In order to make global typography changes, it would ber very useful to have paragraph styles as part of the feature set. Bonus: export CSS from these paragraphy styles.

  11. It would be very helpful to have symbols in order to have reusable elements that can be updated in one place and have those edits instantly take effect in all instances/artboards in the design.

    I’m happy to say you can now use symbols in the November release of Adobe XD!

    Thanks to everyone who voted on this — it honestly does make a difference in making this happen sooner.

    There are lots of ways we could expand on this initial set of symbol features. Please let us know your opinion by upvoting follow-up suggestions like these:

    And as always, feel free to file new suggestions if you have other ideas that aren’t posted in UserVoice yet!

  12. Editing a pathfinder ( Add, subtract, intersect, etc.) would be beneficial to create the perfect shape without building new shapes or paths. Example: location pin - If the circle within the teardrop is off by 2px, I can select the circle shape and move it instead of selecting anchor points.

  13. An option to link an element or page to the previous page.
    For example a 'back' button should link to the last visited page.

  14. Paste SVGs from Sketch files correctly. Right now you can't paste an icon from Sketch directly into Adobe XD. What you get is the rectangle with the bounding box, not the actual SVG you wanted.

    In our July update, we will have direct copy/paste from Sketch to XD via PDF on the clipboard. SVG import will likely still give you better fidelity going from Sketch to XD. We have made improvements to the import with every release, so, please try it again.

    1) In Sketch, do “Copy SVG” from the context menu
    2) Paste into XD.

  15. Introduce swatches so I can keep colors consistent. When a swatch is updated every instance of the color changes.

  16. Add PDF to list of export options for Vector assets in addition to just SVG.

    PDF contain embedded sizing information (in points), allowing assets to be used directly in iOS with no manual rasterization necessary.

    This would allow an iOS/OSX developer to export vector assets just once, and import directly into XCAssets library immediately with no intermediate steps.

    Here's how this is accomplished with Illustrator today: http://martiancraft.com/blog/2014/09/vector-images-xcode6/

  17. <Note: original suggestion has been edited to add links to separate breakout suggestions, to keep the list fine-grained>

    Add fill support for :
    - Pattern : Pictures (browser or download from link), ... --> see https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/15672075-pattern-fill
    - Linear gradient --> DONE!
    - Radial gradient --> see https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/15671976-radial-gradients
    - Angular gradient --> https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/15902767-angular-gradient
    - Noise fill --> see https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/15672078-noise-fill

    1. 0.5.0.4 Beta
    2. Steps to reproduce:
      Create an AI file
      Draw an circle on it (any object, really)
      Drop a symbol on the same artboard
      Select both items
      Copy
      Go to XD
      Paste into XD
      Observe only the object comes over, not the symbol.

    3. Expected Result - Both items should appear in XD

    4. Actual Result - Only the object appears, not the symbol

    Hi everyone,

    With XD versions 8 and 9 we’ve gradually released Auto-Recovery. This is a feature that restores files automatically in the event of an application or system crash. Auto-Recovery is enabled by default and available for both Windows 10 and Mac users.

    How it works:
    - While editing an XD file, Auto-Recovery runs in the background and stores the edits in a backup file at every 5 seconds. Every time you save the file, the backup is cleaned up from your disk, so there’s no impact on storage.
    - In the event of an application or system crash, the backup file is used to restore the last unsaved edits to the original files.
    - At next XD launch, the recovered file is available as a recent file in the Start screen or the “File” menu option.
    - Recovered files can be identified by the “*” character added at the…

  19. This would make it easier to use the assets created in other Adobe applications.

    Dear XD Community -

    I’m excited to announce that we have shipped a new version of Creative Cloud libraries in XD that allows you to:

    1. Add assets from XD to CC Libraries
    2. Brings in the full functionality of CC Libraries in other CC Apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator into XD
    3. Allows you to consume XD components in other Apps such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

    To learn more about the new Creative Cloud Libraries improvements, please check:
