Steps to reproduce:
Create an AI file
Draw an circle on it (any object, really)
Drop a symbol on the same artboard
Select both items

Go to XD
Paste into XD
Observe only the object comes over, not the symbol.Expected Result - Both items should appear in XD
Actual Result - Only the object appears, not the symbol
This will be available in our May update for XD.

In all our layouts are a lot of symbols. So, this would be a very important feature for us too. It isn't important to edit it in XD than to see it in generell...

When pasting a symbol from AI, it simply ignores the symbol altogether.

Originally: "When copying and pasting from AI into XD, the resulting items in XD seem to ignore the symbols that were in the, original, AI file."

Hi Nate,
Thanks for the feedback. As you might've guessed, we don't support symbols yet in XD, but it is on our radar. We'll keep you posted as we start making progress.
