Color swatches
Introduce swatches so I can keep colors consistent. When a swatch is updated every instance of the color changes.
I stand corrected. This will be in our May update. :)

It would be great if this was an optional feature with a switch or checkbox, I would rather link set items to set swatches rather than have EVERYTHING change.
Eg. I have letters which are white at the moment, but later I may want them to be blue, I also have numbers which are white at the moment, but later may want them to be red.
So, I made separate swatches and labelled them as Numbers and Letters respectively, however, as soon as both swatches are set to white, they merge and this cannot be undone, I would have to individually select all the numbers or letters again and make them a slightly off-white colour so that they don't merge. This is a terrible workaround. I would very much like to switch this merging feature off when not needed.

Apparently, this has been updated. Thanks, Adobe XD team. You can add colors as assets in the Assets panel. When you edit a color in the Assets panel, it is changed across in all the instances in the project. This is awesome.

This still hasn't been implemented yet though. Johan was wanting to be able to edit those swatches and it changes the whole project that has that same color. Not just having swatches to choose from. Think more like inDesign's ability to have a swatch panel, but then double click and it changes all of those objects to the color that you have chosen.

the colors symbol management is really poor.
Not possible to reoganize colors i and it create a mess in the active items.the new panels with 3 different topic in the same vertical bar is also not scallable for real project when real UI kit are existing.
Please think about it for next release! -

Erm, this exists... in the colour selector gradient pane, under 'Hex' is a little plus '+' symbol :)

Three months until it's a year since the previous May release with promised color swatches. I'm afraid not being able to control a consistent color palette is a blocker for Adobe XD usage for our part. With e.g. Illustrator you have the next best color functionality on the market (Paint Code is best with it's derivative color system).

@Lasse: Yes, the May update (and our newer June update) includes this feature. Click the "+" button in the colorpicker to save a color swatch for later reuse.
The part of the original request that says "When a swatch is updated every instance of the color changes" is not supported yet. If you're interested in that, please upvote https://adobexd.uservoice.com//forums/353007/suggestions/14893692-change-replace-color-everywhere-in-document

Recently, when the new color picker was introduced - all the swatches I had saved were deleted. I can't seem to figure out how to have swatches that are saved across documents. Help please!

Thanks for updating this feature. I personally think the way it's implemented is a bit odd. Double clicking on the swatch is great - nice tools there. The thing that is odd is the eyedropper is across the palette yet they are related tools in my mind. I'd like to see something more like Photoshop where clicking on a swatch brings up a full menu and the cursor is also an eye dropper. Since I'm asking for color tools - the color these tool is in InDesign is a great tool. can we get that in Xd too?

Great, but currently is not possible to have editable swatches so every object painted with that swatch updates when the swatch is modified. Any plans to implement this?

I second the color.adobe.com request. It seems that as an Adobe product, XD should integrate color palettes that are already saved in your library. especially when working with a team. it would help the workflow tremendously.

Yes, please. A big-kid color picker. Like PS or AI.

I would like to add that I would prefer to have the Photoshop or Illustrator color picker over the default Apple one.

Swatches should have undo/redo history included in the app. So many times I've accidentally clicked a swatch on the native picker and its dragged it over another. VERY annoying that I can't undo

What about swatches in CC library? :-)

Skala's picker is the best.

With the current implementation one can use custom color pickers like Skala's picker. This does have advantages.
