I have a list with hundreds of components. Do you really want me to sort every one of them by hand with drag and drop? you are kidding

Ordering of assets in parent should carry over to child files. Very frustrating to have your well-tuned parent file randomly reorder all your assets when linking from child file.

Oh man I just waisted hours of time sorting my assets just to have them swap back to a random order. This sucks!

This feature DOES NOT work.
It lets you reorder them but will reset to a random order periodically.
It it incredibly frustrating.. Practically defeats the purpose of a library as the only way to find things is to search assets once you have too many to scroll through.

This feature is not always working. If rearrange a limited amount of it works. But if you rearrange many its lost next time you open the document.

Anyone else confused about how to reorder assets in grid mode?

I noticed that I can not apply colors or text by clicking on them in the list view, while I can apply colors by right clicking on the colors, the same can not be done to text.
This is annoying as I have to keep switching between list and grid view to apply and add

This just shipped with the newest update. Note: the reordering only works while on List View, not Grid.

I don't know why it bothers me so badly that I can't do this. It has literally stopped me from using this feature because my OCD brain cannot handle when I go to add a new button symbol and it gets all jumbled up in the midst of input symbols.

Please introduce this feature as soon as possible. If you provide this and most of the missing features for XD in most of your products, how come the new guy is handicapped?

Absolutely Freakingly YES! Drive me batty trying to track down assets. I've actually created a couple twice because I just didn't seem them in the list.

Drag and Drop ordering is essential to maintain sanity and ease of use.

Take a cue form what you have with Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign. You created an amazing and robust set of tools in all these applications, you should have leveraged what you already know very well, instead of cutting 80% of the functionality/capabilities, you should have given the same items the same way, it is Adobe after all, not a brand new startup with little to no cash. really sad to see a huge overlooking of standard tools and modularity within them that you use in most of your design applications. Seems ridiculous. No attention to people using your application.

Yes! Ability to create groups (subgroups?) inside of assets panel would be VERY helpful.

This is a great idea and I also find myself trying to look for items. It would be nice to export all assets to a library as well.

Also, please allow user to group assets in a folder. For example, I may have a set of symbols. I do not need to see them all of the time, so would like to group them in the folder (like photoshop). When I need a symbol I can then expand the folder and see its contents.

Having folders for assets will reduce unecessary clutter/noise in the workspace.
