An error occurred while saving the comment +1 for the alt click / right Mouse Button approach. Not sure how to control the amount of text... is filling the whole frame the best option?

Hi,
The feature that allows you to control the position of stroke: inside/center/outside was started and it will be available in the future versions of Adobe XD. Will let you know once the feature becomes available.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beyond click XD does not provide any interactive behavior for elements on artboards. Things simply sit wherever you place them. This is one of the reasons the tool is so simple and efficient to use. But in order to prototype different interactive patterns and simple logic relations, it would need to introduce fundamentally new concepts. In that regard non-transitioning object, sticky header / footer, modal windows, hover effects, any form of on-artboard-animations, responsiveness are all related features. I'm curious how they are going to solve this.

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm happy that Layout Grid is now available and I find this feature very useful. However I also find myself in situations, where I could use more guides, than layout grid alone. In InDesign I often display layout guides and grid together to design vertical rhythm and internal spaces right.
I tend to be a little compulsive when defining space in my designs and need to know that everything aligns according to a defined system.
It's not the same thing as Nils suggested, but it also has to do with the ability to combine multiple grid systems in one artboard. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I find this highly relevant in order to make color assets useful. At the moment I cant even apply an asset color tor the border of any shape.

An error occurred while saving the comment I would find the other functionality Daniel proposed far more useful: enabling the user to input text into form elements of prototypes.
I would prefer this approach, that you can just as well design the flow upfront and fill in wire frames or layouts progressively:
