Kerning options for text
Splitting off from the typographic features (https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/12927885-typographic-features)
Let's discuss what control over kerning you'd like to see in XD.

I agree, this feature is really important ! Can't believe this request has been made in 2016 !

Bump, kerning is crucial, how come it is still not an option in Adobe XD after so many years.

Definitely need kerning.
Adobe, InDesign is as close to perfection as I've ever seen when it comes to laying out type – take inspiration from your own product.

Kerning is a fundamental part of typography, regardless of whether for web or print. Adobe please add this feature in ASAP. Many thanks.

I discovered that the photoshop manual kerning (opt+arrow left/right) worked in XD, but I've come back to report this is no longer the case. Please bring this back.

Huge XD fan but would love to see a post from 2016, from the Beta years, be resolved and paid attention to. Like many others in the comments, I'm a designer working in corporate. Not freelancing, not just making my own designs. It's odd that kerning isnt an option in XD. We are designers using your tool to design. Kerning is key. It is provided in other Adobe products. Can we PLEASE get kerning on XD?

Surely this is a simple feature to include? This post began in 2016, please can we have the Kern feature!

Tracking features are good at the moment, but kerning features are needed -- the same as InDesign and Illustrator, i.e. individual letter-space kerning adjustments are important!

give us the same that we have in Illustrator

I feel that adobe XD is superior to Sketch based on my experience on using both programs for different projects. But it is beyond me as to why a shortcut for kerning is not available... It is such a basic need for design and yet it is not incorporated. I have originally used sketch and got into XD because of the horrible of compatibility between Sketch and Adobe After effects for animation. Now that I am on XD I am happy with not having to use a separate software like invision to prototype (which is not as usable as XD's prototyping and its XD has better transitions), the responsive resizing ability, built in discovery and download of plugins and alot more.. But HOW can I not kern?!!!
I guess I can kern after when bringing it into after effects, but I should be able to kern in XD. One thing I did not like about Sketches compatibility with After effects was that the kerning that I set in sketch did not transfer over to After effects and had to fix it in the After effects program. But it looks like I will have to do the same in XD

I need ways to adjust kerning in XD. I'm a graphic designer. We hand off these files to developers, and good design is essential. Thanks.

How is this not already a feature?! This is among the most basic functions needed for professionals who work in CS programs.

Whether specific screen designers value kerning and tracking or not, XD is a visual design and prototyping application. Quality control over something as critical as typography is a base level requirement in an app like this. Feels like I am trying to kern in something like wix lol.

I'd love to see the ability to edit kerning/tracking with the alt + arrow keys function. Kerning and tracking an entire website by entering numbers into a box based on different sections of highlighted text is excruciating and ultimately just poor UX.

Kerning is essential. Otherwise you can't get a professional looking headline.

as anon says, Kerning isn't necessary but tracking sure is!

I often use extra letter spacing in headings that are all caps. I'd love to see a letter-spacing value in the Text controls.

I do not consider, that this should get any priority atm. Screen Designers rarely tweek kerning.

Alt + Direction keys to adjust kerning and leading is very useful
