Thanks for pointing this out! We’re getting this fixed in a future release of XD.
We find inconsistencies across all Adobe products:
This is a bug not a feature!
Kenneth, would you mind breaking out SWF import as a separate feature request? That way people can gauge whether people want both or which one is higher priority. I’ll remove SWF from the title here so it’s focused specifically on HTML import.
I'm wondering whether this should be a browser plug-in rather than a feature of the XD desktop app.
As a browser plugin:
I could print out any application that is not publicly available (logins, localhost, internally hosted apps...)
I could replicate any state of the webapp that does not have a specific URL (single page apps, error states, one particular step in my checkout process, ...)
While I see tons of benefit in having a workflow to export style changes back and forth. It's important not to dilute the scope of this feature. Technically the web is a super diverse and while one fraction sees benefits in a dremweaver integration others are hoping to maintain their react or vue components and yet another fraction wants bootstrap... Exporting code is widely discussed in other feature requests.
I hope everybody here can agree that the ability to export a HTML document to XD alone is valuable enough to support this feature.

The best way to share your XD file(s) is to choose “Share for Review” which publishes the file as a viewable prorotype. You can also choose “Invite Edit” which makes the file accessible to anyone you add for access. You can find more info here, https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/share-embed-designs-prototypes.html#Shareclouddocuments
We have point text, which will resize the way you want, but doesn’t flow the text, and area text, which flows text, but doesn’t resize text the way you want. I’m going to keep this open as a suggestion, as it’s quite nice, but I wanted to make sure you’re aware of the two types of text we already support.

I can build this just fine with Auto-Animate and Trigger: Drag. Is there anything else, that you guys need?

I would prefer this approach, that you can just as well design the flow upfront and fill in wire frames or layouts progressively:
I can't believe this has so little votes. Is there a duplicate feature?

+1 for the alt click / right Mouse Button approach. Not sure how to control the amount of text... is filling the whole frame the best option?

The feature that allows you to control the position of stroke: inside/center/outside was started and it will be available in the future versions of Adobe XD. Will let you know once the feature becomes available.
