Static / Fixed objects between transitions
When I swipe between screens I do not want the header and footer bar to slide with the transition, just the content area. Please create a function for this

Any update on this? I love XD but this is embarrassing that they haven’t done this yet.

Update on this feature? My designs are begging

Ok yes, it's important, because it's a bug. If I click "Fixed position …" the element should be fixed and not moving around … :-(

A client of mine, somehow teamed up with a company to use XD for email design, since they created this whole module system. Unfortunately I got put to work on the emails, which I've been learning the program for the past month. Now the conversation about adding gifs, so short videos, ( but mainly gifs) to the email has come up, but in my research i can't seem to find that that it is possible yet. Can anyone verify for me what actual situation is, so that I can present this to the client before they get too excited with their expectations. Much appreciated.

So.. they're working +2 years on this feature? I mean I love Adobe XD, but for how much I love it there are equally as much features like these that NEEDS to be added, for it to be a viable replacement for Sketch imho.

While I wish that doing these kinds of transitions was easier, I'll add that it IS possible using the Auto-animate transition to create sliding transitions where the header and footer don't move. It required me to change the way I think about creating my artboards in order to achieve what I wanted within XD's limitations. https://theblog.adobe.com/auto-animate-how-to-create-automatic-animations-xd/

Needed! Simple reason: statusbar of phone prototype need to stay fixed on all artboards.
The mentioned workaround (via copy&paste) is no real one. If using a transition like slide to side will move the statusbar as well... not convenient
Looks same like "Global/Master artboard templates"

what is the point of having assets such as navigation or notification bars when it moves between transitions? makes it look very unprofessional.

Auto animate isn't the solution to this. Most page transitions are between unrelated content (home page to product page, product to checkout). You don't want to auto-animate those (or do any transition at all in many cases). You just want XD to recognize that certain elements are shared by multiple pages so they should not move.
