What I have noticed is that if you double click text (actually select the type inside the container) within a repeat grid you can colour one item differently from the others which is amazing. If this could be done for graphics too, that would be a step in right direction and hopefully not that heard to implement given that the text does it already...? So it would look like this: 1 of 2: Click to select a graphical object and then change it's colour and it effects all repeat grid items the same (it currently does this). 2 of 2 (New function) Double click the graphical object (so into point editing mode) and if you change the colour of the object then, it only effects that object not all the others. Could this be done?

Currently if you press the tab key when in a text area it selects the container, it would be good if when you pressed the tab key it tabbed the text across as one might expect.

The more I see you retrofitting XD into existing Creative Cloud functionality the more I feel tiny droplets of sadness appearing in my heart...

Jacob, I am having more performance issues with uploading prototypes and my colleagues and frustratingly stake holders being able to see them. I will email you a file now. Thanks James

Jacob, I'm in the UK. Thanks for your response. Currently all prototypes are down, which I'm hoping, when I need to tomorrow, that will mean they're switched over to new, faster service. I've written plenty and send files to numerous people but what I really want, as I feel a lot of other people want, is just a service that works with my workflow, not one that makes me bend to a corporate requirement. I love what is going on with the core of XD and I hope it stays clean and true to it;s initial 'start-up' like values. Have a good day.

    Hi Ruth,

I understand what you are saying and thank you for the explanation.

    Cheers,

When exporting a PDF or SVG of an art board the text export is completely useless, as it either doesn't export the text or it makes it into individual separate vector letters which is no help for developers. Please either get the text to keep it's original copy and pasteable format or offer a text export option as this request says please.

This is something we’d like to get more feedback on.

    a) Some apps (such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign) behave the way XD does now: reducing fill opacity (not overall object opacity) keeps the whole shadow visible but reduces its opacity in proportion with the fill color’s opacity. At zero fill opacity, the shadow is completely gone along with the fill (unless you have a border, in which case you have a thin ring-shaped shadow left).

    b) Other apps (such as Photoshop or Sketch) behave differently: reducing fill opacity leaves the shadow’s opacity at full strength, but clips the shadow so you don’t see it through the translucent fill. At zero fill opacity, in the middle of the shape you can see what’s behind it completely unobscured, but outside the shape’s edges you still see the drop shadow at full strength.

Which one do people prefer? Do you need to…

What James guest has said I agree with entirely. There is barely ever an instance when where the shadow behind the object is what I need, over just the shadow around the circumference. I can see why this has been implemented, as it is more 'life-like' but in reality it is not needed and quite frankly a messy from an aesthetic perspective. So Photoshop/Sketch for me too.
