1. Please make this a viable and fully usable Adobe product, not a shell of what it could be.

   Symbols not being on Windows first release. UI Kits being left out of the same, as well as layers panel and launch screen. The fact that individual items in a symbol (for navigation and menus for example) can not be individually linked to separate places...and that option having the ability to toggle for global or individual editing... is absurd.

   The benefits for using Adobe products...are that they behave like and interact with other adobe products. So far, this is only happening an a fairly limited basis. :/

   The more I play with this...the more I'm considering buying another Mac and using other tools that are already leaps ahead of this one... and just hope that you guys catch up and don't tank this project.

   The major 'competitor' in this arena is already light years ahead...and the launches are coming out swinging this softly? Don't rest on your name, or it will begin to mean very little. Myspace was a mammoth, but gave way to Facebook. Yahoo was king, but fell to Google. (interesting story ties those two comparisons together, actually).

   I'm not saying that someone is going to come in and take your full userbase... but Bit... by Bit... there will be someone to rise to take something. The guys that start with "S" already have this project dead to rights.

   Now, I want to see an adobe product that blows them out of the water. I want to see this be the best product for this. But just like Windows Mobile...they dipped their toes in and lost them to sharks in stead of jumping in and killing the sharks.

   Think of the money and wasted hours if you don't give this a 100%.
   Users are waiting on this to get to a point worth using it. Users are using it lightly, waiting to see if you'll really improve.

   I'll give it another month.

   Definitely appreciate the sentiment behind this, but I’m closing this suggestion as a general one. We’ve seen a lot of features roll in over the past two years. Please do upvote ideas that are specific to your needs so that we can better prioritize!

4. First noticed (needed) functions....

   While some of these needs have been posted individually, I am posting a summary of needed functions. These missing functions get in the way every few moments...

   • Keyboard shortcut for eyedropper

   • Ability to create a symbol, where text can be changed

   • Ability to create a symbol that carries multiple states
   To explain, a navigation item that may have 3 states. You drag the symbol to the canvas, then select the state.

   • Ability to LINK symbols. So every time the canvas shows a navigation item, you do not have to always relink it. Every new screen requires relinking the home icon when the home icon ALWAYS goes to home. Lot of needless repetitive work here.

   • Ability to create a symbol, where different elements IN the symbol can carry links to different spots. So let us create a navigation bar. The bar consists of 4 icons. Each icon goes to their own respective location. Each icon has an active and inactive state.

   • Let us use LAYERS...let us call a layer such as an off-canvas menu. One symbol, which calls a transparent layer into view. You can use that symbol anywhere, and the layer call is consistent.

5. Top Features Needed

   I've been using XD for a while now and have been very satisfied with the beta version, although there are 3 top features that would substantially improve the application:

   1. Add the ability to pin certain objects to keep them from scrolling with the entire screen. For example, a navigation bar (header) or tab bar (footer) becomes static and does not scroll with the rest of the elements on the screen.

   2. Add a few application preferences, i.e.: default font (would be a huge time saver to not have to change to the desired font every time new text elements are added).

   3. The ability to drop default elements that would normally be available in Xcode. For example, nav bars, tab bars, buttons, segmented control, text field, slider, switches, scrolling text views, picker views, search bar, keyboard toggles, scroll view, etc.

   Although there are other features like padding, default iOS elements, and constraints that would be helpful, these are the 3 features that would make the most impact on improving XD for me personally.

   I've been using XD for a while now and have been very satisfied with the beta version, although there are 3 top features that would substantially improve the application:

7. [Windows] Make the windows version the same as the Mac version.

   I think it's great that the people at Adobe are creating a tool that rivals Sketch, if not succeeds it. However windows users don't have access to that piece of software as it's exclusive to Mac computers. XD is the perfect solution for Windows users who want a prototyping/web design software like Sketch, but don't want to shell out a ton of money for a Mac computer.

8. Advanced prototype

   you should make more prototype options... If you want this to be a great app look at some of the features in wix.com or ai2. I think like in ai2 you should use a block editor for anyone who wants to use it because it will open a lot of options. Also' look at all the wix features and see what you can add into the designing of this.

10. Two small ting guides and the Adode CC Libraries will be som of the greatest things to have in Adobe XD

    Having the Adobe CC Libraries in Adobe XD will be like pulling XD having a direct line in to Illustrator and Photoshop. And Guides every designer loves guides i really really miss guides in XD.

    And en extra thing ;-) Photoshop generator in XD to export out all the small bits.

    When I brush it up by WEB production, it is easy to use it.

    1. I distribute a layer and am considered to be it, and I want to be separated by letter data, image data.

    Styling fonts seem to be very limited in XD which is a shame because I love everything else about it. Not asking for anything crazy, but simply to add the same text box feature in Illustrator to XD.

    The feature I'm talking about is the ability to easily change a line of text to a text box by double clicking in AI. Having that same feature in XD will help with my wireframing SO much.

    Also, the ability to easily shrink or enlarge type. Right now I can only enlarge texts NOT in a text box. When it's in a text box, I can only increase the font size to make it bigger.

    I understand the scope of this app is to collaborate with the "conceptually challenged" but two days into creating interactive digital signage with Xd and I'm hooked! one problem though... outputting something tangible to run on a touchscreen kiosk or information booth (offline).

    I am not a Java/HTML guy. I'm a "dyed in the wool" Video/motion GFX guy so having a tool that will allow me to deliver GUIs without coding creates a great new revenue stream. This tool is very close, just needs a tweak.

    While I'm asking...
    Scrolling regions of text. (I saw in another post you guys already starting to tackle that)
    Video Backgrounds or regions.
    Self contained & full screening deliverable package.

15. Picture Animation Features

    I'm a web designer. This app is great for me to layout previews to their website without having to code it then make change which is a nightmare. Well done guys, you are changing the game!

    I'm wondering if it's possible if you could add animated features over images, which help liven up the design. Features like:

    • Parallax Scrolling
    • Zoom over hover
    • Saturation Effect over hover
    • Banner Changes (image rotation over a set timing)
    • Video Background Play
    • GIF support

16. Type Editing features (ie: Like InDesign)

    Currently the type editing features in XD are bare-bones. InDesign has possibly the best type editing in any layout program. It would be great if XD can implement and borrow some of InDesign's type editing features:

    • Text Frame inset (This can be considered padding)
    • Vertical Alignment within a text frame
    • Superscript & Subscript?
    • Baseline Shift?
    • Underline
    • Ability to turn paragraph text into point text, and vice versa. (This is more like Photoshop)
    • Ability to use more than one color in a text frame
    • Ability to use more than one type size in a text frame
    • Text Styles
    • ALL CAPS feature
    • Small caps feature
    • Paragraph spacing

    (Currently using Windows Beta Version: 0.6.8.6)

18. Once a change is made, allow to "update-link" without closing document

    I am able to open a file and make changes, then update the LINK under sharing.

    However, after making another change, there is no option to "update" the link. I have to close the file and re-open to update the link with those changes.

    My suggestion is each time the user clicks the "Share" button, to have the file check and see if any changes have been made. If so, allow to update-link. If no changes are seen, then gray it out until a change is made.

20. It is necessary to add a dividing line function.

    I am using Adobe Xd on Windows OS.

    I changed Photoshop to Adobe XD and it is very inconvenient because there is no dividing line and ruler function.

    I also want to show the size in real time when creating the object.
