Resizing artboard from the left should hide content inside
Oh my, XD is so bad!
Why when resizing an artboard from the left the content is pushed away on the right but when resizing from the right the content is hidden under the artboard (the way it should be!). This happens regardless of Responsive Resizing.
This is NOT an idea!1 voteI’ll leave this suggestion open, but to answer your question: content is referenced by x, y pinned to the top left corner of the artboard. When you resize from the right, the content of the artboard is still fixed to the upper left corner. Since you’re moving the origin when you resize from the left, you’re moving the content with it. Scale line and paragraph spacing when increasing font size using keyboard shortcut
Font resize by Command + . wold resize space between lines and paragraph spacement (proportionaly).

Option to keep share links after filename is changed/ save as in XD
Apparently some people want to automatically delete the already created links each time they save their file as a new one.
But this is not the case for everyone!
I need to keep my link history even if I saves as a new file.

Layout Grid Linked Left & Right Margin
I believe, this is major bug in Adobe XD, Photoshop Guid Layout is perfect. In this way out layout is not going to be in center. If we use Align Center then there is no use.
If I enter any value to "linked left and right align" feature, it automatically convert to "Different margin for each section" feature.
I guess the issue is column width. It need to be calculate automatically.

Lock preview in "XD Mobile app" in just one xd file
When I open multiple XD file and switch between them the live preview on the XD mobile app change according to the selected file.. so I need an option to just lock the preview to one xd file even I switch to another file.

Remove forced cloud storage and remove cloud storage as default
My team cannot use Adobe's cloud for collaboration. We must be able to create a document without automatically saving the document to Adobe's cloud. Further, for a desktop app, local storage should be the default and CMD+S should work as expected.
Updating XD and finding that our documents no longer existed on our desktop was unexpected and we've lost time figuring out where our documents went and figuring out how to restore our workflow, and we will continue to lose time deleting files from Adobe's cloud and dealing with duplicate files every time someone forgets to explicitly save a file…

Click & Drag files on adobe cloud to folders
Love the ability to organize files and assets on adobe cloud servers. One improvement I'd love to see in regards to file organization is the ability to easily drag and drop files into folders, rather than having to select each individual file and then select the folder to move it to. ( specifically in Adobe XD "your files" tab )

add meta data to assets for search purposes
I would like the ability to add additional metadata or tags to assets within a library so that they would be found with the search field. For example, I may have an icon called "search" that is a magnifying glass. I would like to add additional keywords to that asset such as "magnifying glass" or "filter" in case that's what other collaborators might use to search for this icon. This is a simplified example, but I've already run into needs for this multiple times while compiling our design system file.

Component documentation and description
This is mainly for designers that also know how to code, who works with or is trying to build a design system based on modern frontend frameworks such as material design, vue+quasar, etc. Or for designers who follows design systems that already have documentations that they can refer to.
The idea is to give the designers ability to add description to a component, and to be able to add links so that the devs can know exactly which component from the documentation the design is based from, or at least which component will help achieve the best results.

Snap points in scroll groups
Let the user set points (similar to anchor links in artboards) so the animation snaps in scroll groups.

Outlined font should retain original colors in text with multiple colors
When I outline a font that contains multiple colors, the color changes to one color.

Apply multiple paragraph styles within same text box
It would be helpful to apply multiple paragraph styles within the same text box. This is particularly helpful for long bodies of text such as visualising a blog page. Currently you have to split each header, sub head and body copy block into separate text boxes.

Show / hide layers (strikethrough eye icons confusing)
In many other apps, when I see an eye icon it is because that layer is VISIBLE / ACTIVE. In XD this icon works exactly the opposite. We have a strikethrough icon with an eye that when active represents INVISIBLE layer and when not active represents VISIBLE layer.
It confuses me so much each time.
2 options:
- KEEP THE STRIKETHROUGH ICON: Can we revert the way it works so by default no icon appears and then you can click to hide layers.
or
- DO AS IN AFTER EFFECTS: A normal eye icon for showed layers and nothing for hidden ones.

It could be cool if XD got a "tilt phone trigger". Like when tilting your phone the color of your text changes.

Double-tap 'z' for previous zoom
When changing zoom to something new, remember the previous zoom coordinates and zoom level.
Double-tap 'z' to return to that previous zoom level.

Migration of asset links to CC libraries leads to duplications and unnecessarily large libraries
We are using the Atomic Design approach and have built our files accordingly. There is an underlying pattern library with all the atoms. Then there is one file for each molecule, these files use the atoms. Finally, there are the files of the programs that plug atoms and molecules together. This file structure isn't entirely because of Atomic Design, but also because we are running into performance problems with our rather big files otherwise.
With the old feature of linked assets that was never a problem, now we started to using the Library feature and are running into issues:

Checkered background for transparent artboards
Just like how photoshop has checkered background to denote transparency. XD should have the same thing. It's important to know what shapes have or don't have a fill without having to worry about if the fill matches the same background color as the artboard.

Copy a component from a design system website and paste it into XD

For organizations maintaining a design system web site or document, it would be fantastic if users could "copy" a component (like a Button) from the documentation and paste it directly into XD.--- Why? ---
This would save designers from having to browse or search the XD library separately, since they're already in the design system documentation.--- How? ---
