An error occurred while saving the comment Jeroen commentedWith the advent of Leading Trim (https://medium.com/microsoft-design/leading-trim-the-future-of-digital-typesetting-d082d84b202) in CSS (though its specification is still in progress), it is going to be possible to align text and objects to the actual dimensions of characters.
Illustrator new has features that allow you to align and snap objects and text to various bounds of the text: glyphbound (top/bottom of bounding box), x-height, baseline. Mainly x-height and baseline snapping allows the designers to make designs with truly accurate spacing between elements.
I'm not sure how, but I would like to see a feature that shrinks the bounding box of texts to x-height/baseline, much like the upcoming leading-trim CSS property.
(and, if Adobe manages to give designers the tools to make more accurate designs with leading-trim, maybe this adds more weight/inspiration to the process of formulating/fine-tuning the CSS working group specification for this property ;-) )

An error occurred while saving the comment Jeroen commentedThe functionality "Fix Position When Scrolling" could be expanded with this functionality. It feels natural to be given some more options when the layer/group has this option selected, e.g. following the css position:sticky convention: top offset (and left offset?).
This way, you might be able to enable sticky positioning inside (both scrollable and non-scrollable) groups as well, which would be awesome!

An error occurred while saving the comment Jeroen commentedAbsolutely agree that this needs to be fixed! Current implementation breaks our flow of designing, as we need to manually apply overrides in every state of a component. It currently just costs too much time to work with.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jeroen commentedTimed interaction (changing state based on time, just like you can with artboards) would be helpful in many different cases as well. It could be used for continuous animation loops, adding "extra keyframes" in the transition between states as well as the obvious simulation of state changes that normally take time (saving/erasing/exporting/uploading).

Absolutely! This is something that I miss as well! I am currently working on a UI library of components, which have a light mode and a dark mode. It would be great if components with states would have multiple mains (or call it multiple themes).
