Object styles in assets panel
I would like to set stylings of shapes and elements with a "style" similar to the graphics styles in AI.
Ideally it would function like the text styles
It would include all the controls of the XD appearance panel.

This would be such a time saving feature. Find it odd that it isn't possible yet.
At the moment I have to make complex workarounds where each element of a component becomes its own component just to allow me to for example change the box-shadow of a widget container in one place which is supposed to be used in many different components.

This would be a great feature. Right now I have complex shadows that are stacks of 3 layers. If I could assign a specific elevation style with all 3 shadows, the performance increase would be dramatic.

Similar to what Sketch offers. I would love to be able to save styles for shapes. Example I'm doing some shadows logics and I want to use them as styles and not components.

This would be an amazing feature. I am using a dotted line and gradients in my latest project and there isn't any way to save the styling. I have to go through the whole process every time I set up a new element.
Please add something like the Object Styles from Indesign

This would be great. When I'm experimenting with background colors, shadow styles, etc., it'd be great to be able to update an object style and quickly compare the changes across all my artboards rather than tediously making duplicates. I really miss this from Sketch :(

Yes, having object styles could work better than current colors. Sometimes you have your object with fill and stroke, so having this as a style, that can be applied to other objects could be great.
Adobe should look at Sketch and its features that work, instead of reinventing things and making XD less time saving

Please make it happen! That would help a lot.

I second that. This would really be cool and so useful.
Being able to copy & paste styles from one shape to another is great, but tedious.
It would also enable us to change all elements sharing a shape style in no time, as you would do changing styles in css.I think that "element styles" or "object styles" should go further and include responsive size properties and the padding properties (XD 26 feature). Then it would just be killer.
Please consider this feature...

Like with illustrator, it will be a very good idea to add graphic styles in the tab right to the screen. It will be more functional or fast to design and will allows the last corrections to be easier.
It can be a good idea to add opacity, corner radius, color, stroke-color, stroke size and angle (interior, center, exterior), shadow or blur (every appearance aspect like in the picture).

Strongly agree with everything you've said Tara. This feature is desperately needed as well as cascaded character styles. I can't believe both requests have got less than 10 votes. They seem like such basic features that are missing.

We desperately need object styles that contain information like fill colour, stroke colour, stroke width, corner radius. That is unique from symbols. So we can reformat an image frame easily, stop using a grey frame as default, and have the ability to have multiple frames by default. It is super surprising that this request needs to be made, because object or graphic styles exist in almost every adobe design app currently. It is such a time suck to make the same object style changes multiple times.
