It appears to be the norm that XD lacks basic fundamental functionality across it.

The way rulers have been implemented begs belief, especially when rulers have been perfectly implemented in every bit of software I've ever used. Having to scroll to the top of often very long artboards so that I can then drag a guide back to where I was is beyond ridiculous. How do products get shipped with this kind of faults is beyond me.

It's beyond frustrating that when you select different component states ( default, hover...) the layer stack collapses. This is just flawed in every way and it's inconceivable that it needs voting on.
it's BASIC UX and a little user testing would've revealed that it hugely increases the number of clicks to finish a task as you have to keep expanding and collapsing the layer stack for no other reason than XD decides to collapse it every time.

I'd be curious to know of a SINGLE user case where the collapsing behaviour is actually useful...

Absolutely ridiculous that fixing faults on your software is classed as a feature request that requires voting.

Drag interactions should be available within components, changing state,.Having them just from artboard to artboard is ridiculous.

Now that Flash is defunct, is the time to rescue all the functionalities that had been perfectly worked out in it.
Movie clips and symbols in Flash should be taken as the foundation for how components and interactions work in XD. Why this is not the case is beyond me. Why does Adobe keep reinventing the wheel with a square?

The way it all worked in Flash was tried and tested, it's a no-brainer!!!!!

The way in which shared libraries are updated begs a lot of questions.

If I click on the icon on top of the assets panel, why do I then get a popup asking me to update again? Surely a single click is enough as pointed out below.

The library updates with a single click if I use the momentary blue bar at the bottom of the document instead.

After I do this, updating the components within a document that uses this shared library is also ridiculous.
First I get a a blue dot on the components icon to let me know there's changes.
If I happen to have the shared library in view, I have to navigate AWAY from it and to the documents assets to then update them from there.

Why can't they be updated from the shared library view? That's where the components come from in the first place!

Seeing this kind of flows raises MANY questions about the UX in XD. This is just one example out of many convoluted, multi-click, popup flows currently present in XD.
