Keyboard shortcut for turning border and fill on and off

I love that the Xd team values the designer's flow, so that the designer can work as efficiently as possible, without the tool getting in the way.

Setting colors is a perfect case study for this. There's nothing more flow-breaking than having to go fetch something in the toolbar, especially with a common operation like setting colors.

Needless to say it would be "un-Xd" not to have intuitive, flow-friendly keyboard shortcuts for these operations... so, here are some ideas:

If using straight keyboard keys:

"i" to activate the Fill eyedropper
"b" to activate the Border eyedropper

Ctrl+i to remove Fill
Ctrl+b to remove Border

Or I find more ergonomic the following (they're closer together, on the same side of the keyboard):

Ctrl+1 to activate the Fill eyedropper
Ctrl+2 to activate the Border eyedropper

Shift+Ctrl+1 to remove Fill
Shift+Ctrl+2 to remove Border

Of course, the ultimate solution would be for Xd to let us define our own keyboard shortcuts, not just for already assigned shortcuts but also unassigned ones, but I imagine that implementing a shortcut management capability in Xd is probably no small feat - so I'll settle for intuitive and ergonomic shortcuts for now :)

I'm sort of indifferent about removing the fill/border however I would LOVE to have a keyboard shortcut that would activate the eyedropper that would apply to the border instead of the fill.

Actually, all Adobe would need to do, is add "Fill eyedropper", "Border Eyedropper", "Remove Fill", and "Remove Border", to their menu, and now you can go to Mac OS's system preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > And set your own shortcuts.

Easy to implement for Adobe, and it gives us users the power to set our own shortcuts.

You can already have all of these shortcuts if you're using Func Creative Adobe XD integration, it will add those shortcuts for you and other shortcuts, only for windows.

So used to "b" and "f" in Sketch, there's also Illustrator's "x" to turn off primary attribute, "Shift+x" to swap

I'd suggest going with keyboard shortcuts for color that are already being used in other Adobe applications.

X to switch focus between stroke and fill properties
    \ to fill with none
Shift X to swap stroke and fill colors
D for default black and white stroke and fill

Let's keep it consistent to make this product more discoverable.

Note: the eyedropper keyboard shortcut requests are already covered in https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13029870-shortcut-to-activate-eyedropper-to-pick-a-color. So perhaps we should convert the request here into one focused solely on shortcuts to toggle fill & border on/off?

@Elaine just following up... See my response to your question below - hope it clarifies the intent. Do you still need more info?

Personally I feel removing fill/border and setting fill/border goes hand in hand as part of the same experience of "changing" fill/border - so if the feature set is about facilitating keyboard shortcuts for this experience I'd keep it together as part of the same user story.

But that's just me personally - if it happens as part of two separate stories it's the same result :)

Thanks for the heads up @Elaine - It's a bit more than just activating the eyedropper since it also covers removing fill & border.

BTW I hope this is an easy feature to implement and can possibly make it into the next release - huge time-saver :)
