Shortcut to activate eyedropper to pick a color

I really miss the (l) colorpipette/colorpicker shortcut. Because I now have too much (mouse/pen)movement to the right panel, in stead of doing all with shortcuts... This and more shortcuts from photoshop/illustrator like (z) for zoom.

This feature is half-done - it's missing the Border shortcut. Or better yet, all Adobe would need to do, is add "Fill eyedropper", "Border Eyedropper", "Remove Fill", and "Remove Border", to their menu, and now you can go to Mac OS's system preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > And set your own shortcuts.

Easy to implement for Adobe, and it gives us users the power to set our own shortcuts.

What about the shortcut for border color picker? That alone demands a lot of mouse travel, Could we have a shortcut for that as well?

Going through the beginner tutorial on step 9 on using the eye dropper tool. The tutorial is from Dec 17, 2018. Today is Feb 12th, 2019. Why has this been removed?? PUT IT BACK IN ADOBE AND READ COMMENTS OF YOUR PAYING USERS.

Please, please, please! This saves so much mouse work. In Sketch it is ctrl + c. I have been using XD for a month and I still find myself trying that shortcut.

I don't quite get it that why the eyedropper does not trigger then when you just click the color selector pop-over open. I just can't get my head around the "click the eyedropper icon, not the colored-box-that-shows-the-color-and-opens-the-color-selector". I find this very unintuitive.

We use it all the time! Come on, it's a keyboard shortcut under review for more than 2 years!

Yes - and a keyboard short cut to open the color picker (rather than having to go over to the right and click on the swatch to open it) would be nice. Currently I have to go back and forth between my work and the properties panel.

If you need the eyedropper feature now go here

    https://www.behance.net/gallery/70265517/Automation-Additional-hotkeys-for-XD

built this tool for myself, but you're welcome to use it

F2 - will open the fill Eyedropper for you, and F3 will bring up the border Eyedropper

    Hi Adobe XD'ers!
I try to use as many keyboard shortcuts as possible, since I use a Wacom tablet and it's a bit annoying to constantly go back and forth.

I've created a workflow to create custom keyboard shortcuts *for anything*, and in the meantime this workflow can carry you over until a shortcut is integrated into the official build.

There is a little bit of setup, but once you do it once you can create scripts/custom keyboard shortcuts for anything.

    Here are the steps:
    1. Install Brew / https://brew.sh/

    2. Install cliclick, a command line tool to use the terminal to click on things / https://www.bluem.net/en/projects/cliclick/

    3. Download a program that allows you to assign AppleScripts to custom keyboard shortcuts. BetterTouchTool or AlfredApp. In the example I'll use BetterTouchTool.
    links:
    AlfredApp: https://www.alfredapp.com/
    BetterTouchTool: https://folivora.ai/

    4. Maximize your Adobe XD window and determine the XY position of the eyedropper.

    5. Create an AppleScript to "click" on that XY position. Sample is available at: http://bit.ly/adobe-xd-color-picker or below (save as a .scpt instead of a txt file)

    6. Create a "App Specific" keyboard shortcut and point it to the AppleScript File

    7. Restart BetterTouchTool

    8. Done!

    Example video available at http://bit.ly/adobe-xd-color-picker-video

    set delayOne to 0.2
    set pageDelay to 2

    (*

    Script by: Luke Carter / The Productivity Shop / bit.ly/theproductivityshop / theproductivityshop.co

Change the values below to match the location of your color picker.
Use shift+command+4 to determine the XY location of your color picker.

    Questions? Email hello@theproductivityshop.co

    *)

    set clickColorPickerX to 2543
    set clickColorPickerY to 371

tell application "Adobe XD CC" to activate
    delay delayOne

    do shell script "eval $(/usr/libexec/path_helper -s); cliclick c:" & clickColorPickerX & "," & clickColorPickerY
    delay delayOne

Add a keyboard shortcut key to sample color so you don,t have to select the sampler tool. Copy feature from Bohemian Sketch. This would greatly enhance workflow.

This feature actually might be a deal-breaker. I mean, it's so simple, but the absence of this shortcut makes me think of what other shortcuts are missing. The initial date on this thread is also discouraging.

Why does this feature still under review after 2 years? It's a no-brainer and simple to develop. XD team, get your priorities right!

Any news on this feature? The priority is apparently set to the bottom of the barrel having been under review for 2 years.
