Design with Data
I remember, I have seen this presentation at Adobe MAX 2015. Where we can use dummy / Sample data for content such as Name, city, country etc (Please also think to add lorem ipsum dummy paragraph if possible).
I would love to know, is there any plan to integrate that concept in near future. Its a really great functionality and time consuming important feature for us.

We think you’re going to really, really dig the plugin integrations we’re making available later this year :)

I am developing a plugin that will provide this feature; to help you design and create data tables easily in XDx.
see a preview here: https://youtu.be/tQ6SJVeQWBo
I'll be posting regular updates on my channel. your feedback will be most appreciated.

Yes, a built in Lorem Ipsum generator would be lovely. Even just having a text box pre filled with lorem ipsum when you create it would be nice.

What is the update on this? Please! It is shocking that this is still missing, as enterprise UX as a field grows, as well as UX for financial products, every day this is more egregiously missing.

Make this work with repeat Grid + Components inside! Best preview is with everything being interactive. But when you make repeat grid from components all of it functionality is gone (update multiple texts, add multiple images)! + make so that if i change components default state text, it changes in all other states! It would speed up workflow like 20 times! Now to create interactive drop down with 10 different items is like 40 minutes job (you can't even change multiple component states to copy texts by hand), with these changes it would be 2 minutes! This is very needed for drafting ideas fast! If some one wants to use components in repeat grid old way make this function a checkbox (i want default state to update other states). Please make this happen current workflow is such a waste of time on repetitive work!

Please, please, please insert a way (native) to design using real data (from a JSON for example). The best plugin "Data populator" in Adobe Xd is supported no more... :-(
We spend a lot of time to simulate real data for our clients. -

Hey,....tried to post this here https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/13024776-lists-and-tables but voting is disabled.
So this looks like the next most appropriate place...

Hey XD team. Great work with XD. Love it. Thank you. Keep it up.
Wasting incredible amounts of time designing tables -- even when using repeat grids. Spending tonnes of time on table fit & finish.
Something that takes me a few minutes in Excel can take me half an hour in XD.
Assuming you brave it out and get your table done just how you want it, God forbid that you should have to make changes to it. Worse yet, across multiple artboards. Yes; components; but no, those don't work as well as advertised in this scenario.
It's so bad, I have to use Excel as my "rapid prototyping tool" for table view UI design, then find a way to move those to Adobe XD (currently manual)🙈.
I'd like a tool where I can drop a table quickly, define rows and columns, populate data (manually or linked/imported), move around my columns and rows to fit the data how I want, set different properties for each cell, tables lines, borders etc, add images into cells etc... Basically anything I can do in excel with table design, I would like to do in XD.
I've spent the whole day just trying to figure out how to put together a substantial table design with cells that have sub-categories in XD, -- 8 hours. Finally just chosen to do it in excel :o 🤦🏾♂️.
I'd like a tool in XD that doesn't stand in the way of my creativity. Something that gets out of my way, and just allows my thoughts to flow freely -- at the speed of thought.
This is needed -- bad!
Please help! :(

Make data dynamically available in other artboards. e.g. if I populate a list and press on one instance, the data placeholders could populate the following screen. This way we can actually limit the amount of screens while giving the prototype a more realistic feel.

Looks great - but keep it simple Adobe. Don't forget about the basics....strong but basic bitmap capabilities along with vector capabilities. Enough so that we don't have to round-trip into PS or AI as often. Love these cool innovative features though. I'm looking forward to this app.

Please also make data population of components in a repeating grid possible.

I really agree using paper as the first thing. Secondly understand the nature of the business, their process. What value addition the business is bringing to the community or the reasons that they need to maintain DBMS software.
Put their process flow in paper so data architect has fairly have a good picture what is really going-on. Classify/identify Master data and transactional data, with that process you'll know what is key entity and its attributes that's really make them important for the business.
If there are multiple sources or domains, prepare a high level picture and its integration points, and narrow down each domain or subject area. I can add more to it as a step-by-step approach. Here it might be overwhelming.

Plugins provide room for this.
In fact, at the point of posting this comment, there are several plugins available for this. -

I believe this is plug-in is already done, plugin name Google Sheet you can import data with this plugin in multiple way. Like JSON, CSV files and also can paste direct link of share documents.

Please add the ability to have multiple columns text-replacement in the same.

It would be really nice if we could import a json file from the actual product to see how real data would fit the design

I would like to be able to create an iphone/ipad compatible character sheet for role-playing games. I would need to be able to have user defined fields and drop down menus that are connected to a database. I don't even need the drop menus if I can type in the information for everything. I have no idea if this is even possible with Adobe XD. This is my first time trying the application. I have attached a basic character sheet that I am trying to recreate with user defined fields.

It would be awesome if there was a method to select an artboard and it generates an embedded excel data file in Adobe XD with rows and columns (kinda like you see in "keynote" application- See image) After that, I can export the data into an excel doc or to InCopy to have the copywriters fill in the right content. After the writers are done updating the content. I can then import or relink the updated data to Adobe XD seamless.
