Scrollable Area (not scrolling whole artboard)
Define a scrollable area within an artboard
This provides real-world app use cases, such as a table, slideshow, or iOS dropdown lists.

Hi everyone,
I’m excited to announce that with XD 30 we’ve added support for Scroll Groups. Try it out and please let us know your feedback.

It would be great if we can achieve:
- toggle scrollbar visibility
- horizontal scroll (https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/13616781-carousel-side-scroll) -

Im looking to have a window within the viewing window slide both vertical and horizontal when clicked and dragged- as in a navigation app looking at a map.
Im on the cusp of not bothering with XD as this is essential for my app development.
Is there any idea if this will land in an update soon?? its been in process for quite a while- and it has enough votes so it should be a priority!

andrew is right,
also this defining scrollable area should be also vertical and horizontal

You don't need to add fixed position items.
I'm hoping they create something as simple to use as this:
1) Drag a rectangle to define a scrollable area
2) Set it as Vertical or Horizontal scrolling
3) connect it to another artboardThat solves pretty much everything.
Anyone who wants a fixed object on top of the defined area can just make it a layer on top so it won't move . We have been waiting for this for quite sometime now. Personally, I hat having to use other products like Invision to achieve this. -

Is this live yet?

Hard to believe this basic feature is not enabled - most prototypes would need this. Guess I should stick with Axure

FEATURE-STARTED in July 2016--- Whewhhh that's a long time,, when do we get it.??
It would certainly save hours and hours of extra work. Come on Adobe!!! you can do it!!

Having the ability to fix a bg image to the artboard fold on a long scrolling page is CRITICAL in illustrating the way "background-size: cover" pages will look! Without it, there's entirely too much verbal explanation that has to accompany the prototype, so what's the point? Please add this ASAP!

How come this feature is started when the most requested feature is more important?

I'm not sure why this feature is marked as Started, while the top requested feature on the forum (Fixed elements in scrolling artboards) is marked as in the backlog? Understandably the top-rated request has more use cases, but i think that at the very least, having a fixed header/footer is essential. So, I'm just curious if that level of fixed element is coming in the near future. I agree with many who've posted here that this missing feature is one of the few things that prevents me from using XD exclusively. I love so much about it but this makes some prototyping difficult.

This feature should have been finished long time ago! Maybe it's time to switch to invision studio?
