  1. It would be great to have an option in assets panel to only show components that being used on current artboard.

  2. ◆ Overview
The following causes not behaving as expected when it's placed horizontally.

    ◆ Actual
Width is automatically adjusted based on either highest or widest element within a state once one of the elements in Hover State is edited.

    ◆ Expected
Optional setting to set a fixed height and/or width of triggering element for hover state.

◆ Why is this valuable to you?
Though if I prepare Master Component with finalized contents each time, it is feasible with current version; however, if this option would be added, it'd be helpful to reduce a prep time for prototype.

  3. Dear XD Team,

Often we build up a master file as a design grid system and this file for example we include all the icons. If we have lets say 30 icons, then we have to click and create a component one by one.

What we are missing is a "Make component of each selection" feature.

If that would be in the next update – that would be amazing!

    Thanks a lot!

    Regards,
    Serkan

  5. I like the new feature for components, which able us to give different states for a component. However, I think a thing is missing.

In the design system I'm making for my company, we agreed with the developers about a naming system for icons and illustrations, for example : iceyebluenobg.
But with this new feature, if a give a state to my "eye" icon, like red instead of blue on hover, I give the right name to the state, but the name of my component will be always the default state (ic
    eyebluenobg instead of…

  6. Sometimes, while linking artboards, I have the need to zoom out to find the destination artboard.

I click the origin anchor (it turns blue), zoom out and keep the destination artboard visible, then I click the blue anchor and link to the artboard I want.

It'd be nice if I'd be able to zoom in/out using CTRL + Mouse Scroll while dragging the linking line.

  7. Whether we create an animation in XD we perhaps might wish to refine in AE, or work in AE to make an animation(s) for XD, I would like to be able to round-trip that within the Adobe ecosystem. Bonus points if we can make micro-interactions or IFTTT types of interactivity, which would activate the branching JSON file animations; perhaps connected as nodes. Thank you.

  8. Need to have components, objects, UI kits, etc written to support, Low-Fedelity wireframes. Reason for this is their the only ones that work well with Design lead workshops and ideation workshops.
This because the users don't get distracted and overwhelmed by details like in the high fidelity mode.

Currently use balsamiq for this, but XD should be a better alternative with this feature request implemented.

  9. For animations, it would be very helpful to allow for multiple rotations so I'm not limited a single 359-degree rotation. This will allow for much simpler loading style animations which currently I have to do some trickery to make it look like it is spinning more than once.

  10. Links that scroll UNDER a fixed layer, should NOT be clickable. Currently, the link can be clicked "through" the layer.

For instance, if you have a fixed header at the top, and links below it in the body area that can scroll behind/under the header, are still clickable through the header...

  11. I would like to be able to reveal the color in the assets panel, even if the assets panel is not open. If I have the layers panel open the option is currently not in the context menu. It would be great if it was an option regardless of what panel is open and if clicked it would automatically open the appropriate assets
    panel.

  12. It would be very useful to be able to grab all the colour values as text in one go.
To copy and paste into our SCSS or CSS.

Could be a download or copy all.

The shared assets in the Share for Development web pages are great. When it comes to the Colors, currently we can grab the Hex, RGBA, HSLA colours one at a time. I frequently want to grab all the colours.

Code editors help designers see the colours, we don't need to do the colours one at a time to know which is which.

  13. At the moment, dragging a component on top of another component on your artboard will replace the symbol. This is often a very useful feature but not always the intended result.

For example, I have a basic component which is the "frame" of a dialog. I need to put some buttons in that dialog but as soon as I drag a button on top of the dialog, it replaces the dialog frame with the button. In order to avoid this, I currently have two options that I am aware of (let me know if there are others):
    1. Lock the…

  14. I regularly need to drop an SVG, created with Illustrator, into XD, but it loses the invisible bounding box.
The same thing for export – there just one way to make an asset with a bounding box, and that’s make an invisible rectangle in the icon, but that results in messy code that needs to be cleaned up later for our developers.

    It’s basically this request: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353010-adobe-xd-bugs/suggestions/20219551-while-importing-svg-s-it-does-not-include-boundin

  15. Why do I need to click 2 times on an folder on the layers panel to open it?
I think it works better on Photoshop when the folder as a triangle with drop down.
every time to get inside a folder the user needs to double click it is not comfortable for the user. I prefer the Photoshop convention

  16. Currently when I change my artboard fill to black, and decrease transparency by a percentage, to simulate the 'lightbox' effect for my design, then go into Prototype mode and select 'Overlay' as my action - the fill on my artboard gets deselected. At first i thought this was a bug, but after reviewing the bugs list, it appears this is by design.

I would like to suggest a couple improvements:

    1. Instead of 'auto-deselecting' the fill, set it to 0% transparency instead -> This will make interacting faster for those who want to go back in and change the fill color,…

  17. To avoid conflict between guides and content select (through click and drag), I would propose to either:

    A. Switch the active 'guide' area to the right hand side of an artboard or;

    B. Allow guide creation to be independently toggled on/off as per the grid feature or;

    C. Only enable guide creation if the grid or layout is toggled on.

  18. A tool that allowed me to make rectanular measurements would be useful. It could behave like the selecting marquee tools in PS.

    https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/selecting-marquee-tools.html

This would be valuable because it would quickly give more specs to parts of the mockup that are not always XD elements. For example, if there was part of a mockup that was a screenshot, the XD measurement tools are not as accurate. Also is helpful for finding sizes of invisible containers. This would allow developers to freely grab measurements quickly for anything on the page.

    Thank you!

  19. It would be really useful for the prototype owner to be able to choose the type of comment they use on a prototype.

    For example:
Standard Comments - The current comment style used today
Annotation Comment - These would be used to denote key callouts for stakeholders/developers
Designer Comment - Personal notes that remind us to make changes to the design after a stakeholder/user review. (only seen by prototype owner/collaborators)

  20. When I publish design specs (Share - Share for development) the text that I have outside art boards gets excluded. I have text to label different sections in the userflow, like headlines. When I share the same files for collaboration (Share - Invite to edit) the text is included. It would be nice if the text outside the art boards could be included in design specs as well, that way the developers can get the same information and understand the userflow.
