Elaine, please see my comment below. Perfect copy and pasting of vector artwork from Illustrator and perfect cut and paste from XD into Illustrator in my opinion should be top of the list. XD then leaps forward, as the workflow frustration of having to export and import is removed. For example: text areas copying and pasting as text areas, line endings and styling being perfectly copied back and forth, masked images in Illustrator able to be copy and pasted into XD (as opposed to what it does currently - the image disappearing)

I agree. Go for quality importing and for me equally essential is exporting well from XD via cut and paste back into illustrator. The current workflow is agonising?! Illustrators vector tools and functions and where pros will be doing iconography and other key vector detail so the ability to quickly copy and paste back and forth without problems should be higher priority than XD native tools for this first stage - which by the way line editing currently is just so difficult. As you can see from all the top requests the capacity we're looking for is good interactions and efficient duplication generally speaking to make prototyping rapid. A flawless, helpful prototyping tool is what we need more than anything initially.
