Glyphs Palette

With FontAwesome font files and the like, it's impractical to make quick use of their icons/glyphs without a palette, as the entire character set does not use qwerty, but are special/hidden characters.

I can live without granular type tools like kerning, but not having accessibility to the glyphs of a given font file is a dearly missed feature from working in Photoshop or Illustrator. At least on OS X, the OS character viewer is not as friendly as Adobe's other implementations of the glyphs palette.

    Stop useless features and give us useful ones.
    Unordered and Ordered Lists
    Color management sRGB / P3
    and Insert GLYPHS!

    The current workaround for this is to have InDesign or Photoshop open so you can access the glyph panel there, add the desired character to a text frame, then copy it and paste it into XD, and finally, apply the correct font to the text glyph. At least there is that, but it's time-consuming. Would love to have a glyph panel of some kind in XD.

    Adding my vote to this – I now find myself creating more and more web layouts in XD, but to not be able to amend glyphs/specific characters as I regularly do in both Illustrator and Indesign is incredibly frustrating. It's a real design limitation. Please help! Thank you.

    Just amplifying that this is still not available, and it is so necessary. I find XD being useful for more and more design work - social media assets, etc. But not being able to properly typeset is so frustrating. Please prioritize this.

    On Windows, to see Glyphs of installed fonts, run command Charmap.

    Yeah. Icon fonts are really the go-to these days. Glyphs palettes exist in other Adobe products, it should be that hard to borrow one for Illustrator or somewhere.

    Make a panel for glyphs. It is so annoying that I have to command+Z a curly quote to make it a straight quote. or give the option to toggle the two in the preferences.

    AAAAARRRRRGGGHH!! Sort it out Adobe.

    Why can't they make sure styling across the whole suite of apps are matched...so you're not restricted like this. So frustrating, annoying, silly, boring, naive, mismanaged, aggravating etc etc.

    We pay a shed load of money for this lot, so someone needs to rethink how the system can work better. Cause I tell you something, at this rate I'll seriously think about jumping ship and going all out Affinity.

    How is this not a feature yet? Icon fonts are an essential in the UX designer's arsenal... this needs to be available.

    well... as usual, a common sense request, dated in 2016... four years later, I still wasting hours copy-pasting glyphs from elsewhere, only to find that dissapear when I try to append them in an existing text.

    Exactly the same as "tabs"... if you need to design a table mock... forget it, XD is not your tool... and don't waste time designing it in Illustrator. It will lose all the tabulations and widths.

    If someone (or Adobe) could make a glyphs panel, that would make working with XD 1000 times easier. There's some things like small caps and old style numbers that just can't be typed in Adobe XD or copied from Illustrator.
