An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedI was hired by an agency that knew nothing about interactive design. I was hired because I know prototyping software. All their dev agencies use Unity... this is such a migraine.
Photopea does convert XD to PSD, but the problems are prohibitive. Such as the only 'glow' in XD is to use a shadow, and that gets converted to Multiply in the PSD. Oops. It's so tedious as to really question going 1,000 back in time and building a UI in Photoshop, just so it looks right.
Coming from a mobile background, I didn't know the exhibition industry runs on things like Unity, which don't play well with mobile design software. Even JUST having XD export screens in PSD format would solve a lot of problems. Devs have mentioned that some other software they commonly use also accept PSD.
So, while I need my XD work to go into Unity, having a PSD export would cover a lot of bases.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedSo, last night, a project manager sent some text edits to our development agency. This morning, the dev sent me the new text so I can make him a png with justified text.
Y'know, normal development stuff.
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedMy Chinese project manager is just loving that "I can't do that", right now. *headache worsens*
So many simple things...

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedIf you want XD to break into the Chinese market, you MUST include this feature. Every. Single. Time. This comes up with whatever developer is selected (not by me) at the last second. I'm using Photopea (c'mon, they're freeware and ahead of this...) for the first time to convert, which is kind of ok... but it doesn't read everything perfectly (nor did I expect it to).
I've never built an interactive project (website, app, touchscreen) in Photoshop in 17 years, and I'm not about to start. Though, a large chunk of the world is far enough behind the curve that business should accomodate it (assuming you want Chinese money as well as other 2nd and 3rd world countries).

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedWe need to go to production this afternoon and the client is nitpicking line and paragraph spacing. Instead of refining animations in these rush hours, I'm manually chopping up text blocks into headlines and paragraphs...

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedEeek. Only one other person wants this... I'm suddenly hopeless.
As I've moved over from Sketch, I've got a LOT of files in Sketch format.
I can import into XD, YAY!!!
I sometimes get a version of each Sketch symbol as a Component for each artboard it appears on... BOO!My other issue around this is the naming/ID conventions from Sketch, which probably isn't terribly important to the XD dev team. Symbols got different layer names across artboards, making Auto-Animate a horror show. The one time I've done this before, I gave up renaming EVERYTHING consistently and just rebuilt in XD, so the import feature wasn't very useful. Now, I can't use the convenience of editing a Master Component because each symbol instance has it's own Master.

I’ve updated the title to reflect your request. Please note that the current maximum is actually 5s, and you can type the number directly into the interaction popup.

I’ve tweaked the title so it covers only exporting animation to GIF format. This will help keep our feature list fine-grained so we can get a better picture of which are the most important.
For the other formats that were originally mentioned here:
- Export animation as a video — exporting to MOV (QuickTime) is supported now, via the Record button in the Preview window. If you need to save in a different video format, please file a new suggestion with details.
- Export animation as HTML/CSS/JS — please upvote https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13198020-export-html-css-animation-code
- Export animation as Flash SWF — please file a new suggestion if you need to export to this format.

Reopening the feature request, based on feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedSo many prototyping programs can't support animated gifs. If developers think that small animations aren't something that our clients expect to see (they do) and don't want to spend the time to offer those features for real, just supporting gifs would shut up a lot of our clamoring.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob F commentedTo my dismay, just found out this isn't a feature yet as I have a dial that needs all 4 directions (like most other prototyping apps have). That's what I get for assuming. lol

Oh, and that product Ankit linked to below has horrible reviews from everyone who didn't get it for free.
