An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedThis morning I had breakfast, and then dived right back into the incredible amount of frustration I'm having with this App; this latest edition was this very thing; how is that we can select multiple objects with the selection tool but dragging anywhere on those objects, but artboards require the selection of their names? How come we can create objects outside an artboard, but can't place them behind that arboard?

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedI maybe working way later than I should be, but it seems there's no way to close a document in XD withough closing the application instance. If I click Home, it opens a new instance of the application.
To further clarify:
I would like to avoid having multiple instances of applications cluttering my screen. As an example, in other Adobe Suite products, you can have multiple files opened within a tabbed environment, and have instance access to those documents, and if need be, you can rearrange your working environment to see docs side by side, etc..., or even pull them out of the root application. Besides cluttering up the screen, I can assume another instance of the app is a drain on resources. Most modern design apps allow multiple files to be open, as perhaps part of the same project. Say at the basic level I'd want to compare two artboards that exist in separate files.

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedHey you know what would be a great idea, if you could use guides to guide from any side of the art board, so the user does not have to constantly zoom in or zoom out; even better, why not ALLOW GUIDES TO BE DRAGGED FROM THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AND LEFT OF THE SCREEN ON THE GLOBAL LEVEL LIKE SAY PS!

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedIt is nice that you can link assets across documents, however it would also be nice to see a notes modal about things like the user that created the change, if the change has been approved an finalized for you to implement, as well as date.

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedAdding my voice to the comment below regarding border; first of all thank you for explaining, second of all, why... WHY not have the same behavior patter apply to fill and border when one selects FILL and BORDER?

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedNot only at the same time, but a basic common sense TREE, and again LIKE PS does. Currently clicking on an object exposes all objects within an artboard otherwise you have no clue....
Some Guy Online supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedI to would like to see this feature. In fact while this tool is not as heavy as PS, I would love for its own UI to have the same functionality (in regards to re-arranging panels and being able to see multiple panels on the same work-space view.

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedAgain, why are you not maintaining consistency in the UI with the rest of the Adobe Suite; isn't this basic UX/UI 101? At the very least why not allow moving the panels around, again like most other Adobe software allows you to do?

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedAs a new user I too was expecting this to be native. This relates to allowing custom mapping of most shortcuts, similar to PS; every user has a different approach to using the tools offered; custom mapping would not change the way the features behave, simply the way they are accessed; this is would improve the basic principle of the user experience; it's ironic that a tool designed improve the user experience does not also dedicate as much weight to how its own users approach the product.

Hi everyone,
We’ve started working on multiple fills and borders, with plans to extend to this multiple shadows in the future.
Best,
DanAn error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedI like the control we get of what kind of border we could set, say inner/outer. I think it would be even more amazing if we have the ability to set both for the same object; say an outer border, red of 10, and an inner border blue of 3 as an example.

An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedIf I create an shape, then double-click on the border, I'm giving a number of points that that the shape is divided into, then I can mess around with distorting the shape to my will, in one of the videos it was claimed that if you hold Alt+Del you can delete a section of that shape, say a square, and create interesting designs; I tried deleted other parts of the shape in this similar fashion, but it always breaks only the top right portion of that shape; was that intended? If not, how would one delete a portion of a shape, thus making it open, but the portion that we chose no the default.

This was highly debated and designers are split on whether they want this or not. We may provide a preference in the future.
Some Guy Online supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Some Guy Online commentedI would love to see source that shows that this is 'debated' and not a MUST-have feature for all designers. I to would really love for this to be a default behavior or at the very least a preference.
If the artboard real estate is covered entirely by groups of objects, you cannot select he artborad this way because there is not background to select.
