Artboard Tool should allow you to select an artboard without having to click on the artboard title.
I should be able to select an actual artboard (like in PS) when using the artboard tool. Right now the artboard tool only lets you create artboards with a click. Currently I have to scroll up or zoom out, then click the name of the artboard in order to select it, in order to make modifications. A similar functionality to Illustrator would be helpful (Shift+O to enter artboard edit mode).

+1, it's highly unintuitive that the artboard tool only draws new artboards. My artboards are long, so I often can't interrupt my flow to scroll to the top left corner of the artboard, or move a background element to click on the artboard directly.

If the artboard real estate is covered entirely by groups of objects, you cannot select he artborad this way because there is not background to select.

This morning I had breakfast, and then dived right back into the incredible amount of frustration I'm having with this App; this latest edition was this very thing; how is that we can select multiple objects with the selection tool but dragging anywhere on those objects, but artboards require the selection of their names? How come we can create objects outside an artboard, but can't place them behind that arboard?
