An error occurred while saving the comment Currently the overlay location should snap to pixel, and it should also snap to the "host" artboard's edges. The only thing it doesn't snap to is content within the artboard. Are you seeing behavior that's different from that?

Just duplicate a path onto a second artboard and then edit its path points to be a different shape. It's a very powerful feature - the number of points doesn't even have to be the same!
@Tony: You can animate objects that are "offscreen" (outside the artboard) without grouping. If two artboards are already connected via an Auto-Animate transition, you can move an object outside one artboard's bounds as long as it is still inside the other artboard.

@Jeremy: XD has supported independent corner radius for a very long time. Just click the toggle button next to the corner radius text field.
