Thanks for your feedback. I’m going to leave this open, but I will say that the current text boxes match the size of the glyphs as defined by the font designer and is not calculated separately by XD. This means that you’ll often find fonts that either have extra padding or insufficient padding to include all pixels in the font, as it’s defined in the font itself. Hope that helps!

Having real issues with this. We are working on a master component doc for our shared library / design system and I have to ask my colleague (who created the doc) every time I want to update the link.

This is so annoying - it is also an issue when for example updating the master button style in a shared component and all instances and states revert to the text of the master (not sure if this is a separate issue, but closely related). Almost negates the time saved by using reusable components in the first place!

How can this still be an issue after a year, Adobe? Basic feature in Sketch / Figma.

Could do with this feature. Or at least clearly label them 'Layers' and 'Components' and place controls further up the top with everything else, rather than having icons hidden down the bottom left. Have been using XD for the last four months or so and I still pause to think most times I'm about to switch between the two. Don't seem to remember this happening with Figma ...

Really need this - currently developing a design system - just changed font and its alignment within the box is all over the shop. Looks fine in Illustrator and other software but seems to be aligned to the top of the box in XD for some reason.
