"Scaling Tool" (scale stroke weight, shadow effects & corners when resizing)

Ability to scale attributes proportionately. When creating shapes, buttons, or icons within XD sometimes they need to be scaled to different sizes. Currently when scaling these shapes, buttons, or icons created within XD we can no scale some of the attributes proportionately.

As an example I create a container box with a stroke, border-radius, shadow, and paragraph text. If I need to scale proportionately, like say 50%, the stroke, border-radius, shadow, and paragraph text don't scale proportionately.

(Currently using Windows Beta Version: 0.6.8.6)

Seems strange that it's not already part of the program

Yep, that would be a very useful addition... afterall, we can do it in other widely used apps like InDesign and Quark, so why not XD??

I think it's super lame that I have to go in to XD and establish the dims I need for a graphic, open the Illustrator file, which is set to scale stroke, scale to dims needed, then copy and paste into XD. That's my workaround FWIW.

And no, it does not work to simply turn off Responsive Resize, for those who recommend this. Yes, we know, that is why this is an issue. It doesn't work.

I, like others find it super annoying that after several years, that I have not seen an update or build release, unless I'm missing it.

This should not be a feature when it is a fundamental function that is used on the daily in Illustrator.

And for another thread I found, the adobe employee just said to submit a request. Awful customer service. In my work, I don't just slam and cram by making the customer submit a request. I would do a discovery to determine the need, and make the request on their behalf. Adobe, please, you can do better!

Please include this in the next release. I lost a lot of time today exporting existing SVG and AI icons to PNGs just so I could scale them into my designs.

For all those who have a similar (but different issue) with things expanding outward when you try to scale, make sure you read this solution and untick the "responsive" aspect of that graphic before trying to resize.

This should NEVER be a request its the most logical thing in any programme to have the ability to scale thing up and down and to have that group scale EVERYTHING in the group proportionally we are now over 5 YEARS!!!!! and XD still does not allow this are adobe deaf? Listen and even perhaps use the software? Don't be come the QUARK of digital production software

Currently you can not increase or decrease a multi grouped object. I have to de group about 20 layers to increase it by a small percentage as currently it all distorts when increasing the group

Currently, there seems to be a struggle or no way of increasing or decreasing a 20+ grouped object. Everything distorts somethings increase other objects in the group do not. Very frustrating when you're making an interactive presentation and you need a group slightly bigger as you missed judged the original canvas size that you needed

Can't believe this problem still exists in 2021 when it was talked about in 2016. This messes up my whole project now and I have to work 1 or 2 days additionally to fix this on many sites while it could be done in a few minutes with proportional scaling.

I am flabbergasted that this is not a feature. I use this all the time in Sketch and Figma.

Surprised XD doesn't have this feature. Have to bring it into Illustrator to scale it, then back.

For me this would be most useful when using states. For example having a button scale up when hovered. It should behave the same way as CSS: not affecting the position or space on the artboard/prototype. I should be able to animate it as well.

I thought I was stupid for not finding the settings for scaling. But how ADOBE?! How is this not a basic feature? It makes work a lot easier...
