Hotspot hinting in prototypes
Would be nice to have the option to see where interactive hotspots are when viewing a prototype on the web.
I do think the option to have them hidden is still important for user testing, but client demos would be aided by a hint as to what can be clicked on.
This is now available. When you click on a portion of a shared protototype that is not clickable, you will get hotspot hints. In the future, we will offer the ability to turn off the hotspot hints. For now, they are on all the time.
I need to change the color of the Hotspots... the blue is hard to see... is it possible to change this color?

It would be great if hotspot highlighted on clickable areas. Currently, it's not that much visible

Hello, Joan and Cory. Cory, thank you very much for raising this feature up to the community. Having used the hotspots for a while now, my users that are testing my prototypes miss them almost every time. The flash is too brief after clicks on non-linked areas. Personally, I'd like to see a hover state for web mode on laptops/desktops (and things with mice or tablet pens, for example). I'd also like to see hints appear after a configurable delay set by us, the designer. Some users just sit there, trying to figure out what to do. This can be the results of erroneous design and/or users that are less technologically friendly. We learned this in video games, where, at the least for the first-use experience, we NEED to hold users hands. This is generally known as "newbie handholding" in the industry and it makes or breaks new experiences.

Can I shut this stupid hinting off????? Having the hinting on by default causes a real big issue when doing usability studies as it leads the user too much! This is a huge turn off for me as a UX designer!

For those who are concerned this leads the user too much in usability studies: please upvote https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13400064-disable-hotspot-hinting
As others have said, I need to be able to turn off hotspot hints for user testing. Hope this is coming very soon.

just a heads up Joan, that having the hinting on by default causes a real issue when doing usability studies as it leads the user too much

Looking forward to seeing the update :)
In which build is the feature available?

plus an index with all (designed) screens would be nice. so that clients don't miss anything, when they receive a prototype via internet.

Second this, it's pretty essential, really. An alternative would be to manually adapt clickable items with e.g. a green border - but obviously an automatic alternative would be preferable.
Would be great to have a slight highlight on clickable areas on a shared prototype, so clients can quickly see what's clickable and what's not. Complex prototypes will have plenty of buttons, copy and other elements, and much of it won't have any functionality, so it can become a bit confusing figuring out what you can click on, especially for not very tech-savvy clients.
