Global/Master artboard templates (pin objects across all artboards)
Ability to have a single object (or group) break out of its artboard and cross multiple artboards within a single prototype. The simplest use case is the creation of a global navigation bar that spans across multiple screens. This object's interactive elements would also work across multiple screens as well, and any edits to this object would update across the rest of the screens.
Easy interaction management and editing. Also provides consistency with consistent elements within an experience.

Symbols have addressed this feature request, BUT it would be nice to "anchor" symbols to the top/bottom/side of a page so I can have different sized artboards with my navigation/headers/footers moving alongside the size.

Why the hell do you want master artboards? Use Symbols. Problem solved!

I love the concept of Master Pages in Adobe InDesign. Thats a huge problem when you're creating a hundred pages with the same title and you need to realocate it. I hope it can be done soon \o/

I wish I had more votes for this. I am doing a camera viewfinder prototype, which has like 200 different artboards. When doing a second concept I'd like to use what I already have but change the graphic elements on the GUI. It's been easy enough to cut&paste, but it pastes it on top of everything and not behind like the first slide.

Master page feature will be very useful, in Adobe Fireworks master page feature is good example.
Also option to share layer (group of layers) to multiple art-boards will be very useful.
For example you are using cart widget on several art-boards, and ability to share same layer (cart widget) on all of them (including positioning top-left from art-board) will save lot of time when editing. This is not same as symbols because here you share also positioning of layers. In ideal situation you create symbol "cart widget" place on art-board, position where you like to appear, and than share that layer across multiple art-boards. Latter on when you need to change/adjust position you can do that from one place.

Yes, we really need this...

Yes, it I similar to the suggestion on master art boards. It makes sense to merge the two ideas.

And changes to the artboard should be reflected in the symbol. That way you would have the same functionality as Master elements in Axure RP.

It would be useful if you could turn a complete artboard into a Symbol. It would make it much easier to add new elements to a symbol.

This could be implemented by simply allowing to select another Artboard as the current one's background, instead of or additionally to a fill color/gradient (in Appearance section).

XD needs master pages, like in InDesign, but I imagine it a little simpler here. In InDesign, a page is either a master or a regular page, and they're stored separately. You have to turn a page into a master page, which I'd hope you don't have to do in XD. In XD, it would be great if any artboard could simply apply another page as its underlying image. You could manage it from a dropdown right by the artboard name-- something like, "Based on Page xyz". And then, if you're zoomed out far enough, maybe when you roll over that control, it might highlight the master page with a thick border, and any other pages based on it with a thinner border of the same color. A control to "Jump to Master" would help you easily find it in your sea of artboards when you need to make edits to the underlaying layer.

I have the same button on many artboards, and would love to reposition all of them at once by selecting them all, then typing in the X-Y coordinates in the info panel. Doing each one at a time is a pain!

When updating a universal symbol like a logo placed on the header. If it's X/Y changed from 60px to 100px I want to apply this new coordinate universally across all boards when 'update all symbols' is selected.
I did a test today but 'update all symbols' option didn't update new position.

Looking for feature to define Universal header and footer for mobile app prototype. Once design define fixed header or footer and may be both at same time and middle area of app would be scrollable.
