BUG: Cannot have a lottie animation above a video and have both play automatically.
When trying to add a lottie file above a video layer, if both are set to "play automatically" the lottie file does not play in the preview.
If you set "play on tap" on the lottie file then it works.

On-canvas gradient control is missing for closed paths
I create an object with the Pen tool.
Give it a gradient.
When I try to edit the gradient, the gradient bar is not appearing within the object. It is impossible to relocate the trajectory of the gradient.Other time I change the dimension of that object, the gradients trajectory gets distorted and when I try to change it, it flies around the screen.

Rearrange Component States in Property Inspector
I'd love to be able to rearrange the component state order in the property inspector (the panel on the right in Design mode & Prototype mode). I would also love to be able to resize the section for component states. Currently it maxes out at 4 before you need to scroll.
249 votesDear Adobe XD Community -
I'm glad to announce that in XD 49 we have introduced the capability to reorder components states in main components through the property inspector. To reorder you states, select your main component and drag the states in the PI to reorder them and the new order will reflect across all your component instances.
Hope you enjoy that feature. To learn more about how to use Component states in XD, please check: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/create-component-states.html

Store component with states in CC Libraries
I noticed that if I add a component with multiple states to the shared library, only the currently active state is stored. Please allow storing the components with all of its states in the library.

Keyboard shortcuts for switching between modes should work on international keyboards
The new shortcut on mac to toggle between design, prototype and share mode means you can't type a hashtag or euro character. Use a different shortcut tool.

Sort components in assets panel alphabetically
It would be beneficial for us to sort the Components list by name (Alphabetically). Reason being, when we attach the Cloud doc to a new project file, components seem to be in a random order. If we could re-sort the list alphabetically on each file, it would make organization of large counts of components much easier.

In XD 44, we introduced the ability to sort your entire document assets panel alphabetically or by custom order.
Please give it a try and let us know what you think.

Renaming color components after last updates
If I would like to rename the components it is only possible in list view: Why?
And If I rename the element title starts with an empty field. This was different before. So I have to type hex values from scratch. Thats annoying...1 voteCircling back on this one – the hex value bug should be fixed in XD 42, which was just released last week. Hope that helps!

File Save Option :: Local File or Cloud File
Hello Sir(s),
Greetings...!! I am using Adobe XD Since last few years back.
Is it possible to save file offline? Like each time I have to download file from cloud server. Please advice.
It will be great if we directly save file to local drive. Like photoshop and illustrator.
Thanks,

Resizing elements within components should resize bounds
Give us the ability to re-size master components after we create them. Currently if you add/change anything outside of the master component initial size, it gets masked off with no way to resize the master (and then all the instances) of the component.
110 votesHi XD Community -
Thanks for your feedback!
With XD’s August release, you could resize/move/add/remove objects inside a component, and the component bounds will automatically adjust to fit those objects.
Please give it a try and let us know what you think.

Why won't this svg open?
All the icon svg paths in the polaris icon system won't open in XD. It seems to be valid svg and renders in the browser just fine. It also won't open in Illustrator.

A component nested into another component should show the override version rather than the master version when pulled from the menu
Senario:
We create a button with a rectangle fill and generic text and turn it into a master component called "button". We then place an instance of that button into a master "footer" component and override the generic text of the button to be specific to the footer. If I now copy/paste the footer component it keeps the override text. If I opt+drag to copy the footer it keeps the override text. BUT if I drag the component out from the component menu all nested components revert back to the text from their masters.Expected result:
Everything in a master…17 votesThis is now available for you in today’s release of XD 34. Enjoy!

Rethink the component system
In a design system we need hierarchy and inheritance. At this point XD handles these a really poor way.
Important principles:
Embedded / nested components
If I embed a component and change it, the change should be the new default, so when I make new instances of the master, the subcomponent should NOT be reset.States
If I create a new state, and change the elements / subcomponents, only the property changes I made should be saved in the new state. ALL OTHERS should be exactly as in the master. This should work in the property level, so if the…6 votesWe’ve added support for nested components and have improved states and resizing. Feel free to file a new ticket if you’re interested in additional features.
Please note for future reference that UserVoice works best if you have each idea in a separate ticket.

Move Fix Position when scrolling back to design mode
i ve just noticed you removed the preserve scroll position from design. This is a horrible thing for me. Doing that forces me to prototype EVERYTHING.
for example: i have 100 artboards that are unconnected due to time saving ( i dont need to prototype everything ) but moving that button forces me to do it becaus now i cant make a quick preview for my client where he can scroll up and down. Now i will have to connect ALL 100+ boards together.
why? Because when you are EXPORTING for REVIEW or DEVELOPMENT
only the connected boards are being…67 votesIn today’s release of Adobe XD, you can now set an object’s fixed position in both Design and Prototype mode. Thank you all for your feedback!

Use ALT/Option key + click and drag to duplicate object in stack.
As an Adobe Xd user that uses many stack groups, I would like to quickly duplicate individual items within a stack.
See video attached for example:
1. Outside of stack groups the default behavior of holding ALT/Option key while clicking and dragging an object is to duplicate it.
2. Holding ALT/Option key on an object within a stack group does nothing.
3. (Workaround) Copy / Pasting an object within a stack group with Command+C & Command+V duplicates the object in the correct location. This is 1 of 2 minor bugs I've found with stacks, but I think I'm only finding…

Auto layout
There is one thing that frustrates me every time I work with XD.
The moment when the height of an element changes and I have to adjust all margins and the height of e.g. cards. And all because the text of a line got shorter.Figma recently introduced "Auto layout". This allows to define the margins of elements within a "group" and thus complex list/grids that dynamically adapt to the content.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrKX46DzkGQIt would be great if, after "Content aware layout (padding), the margin could now be addressed.

See others' cursors while coediting
It would be great esp. in a larger file to see where my teammate(s) is working. I realize there is presence but the colored stroke is hard to find at times.
Ideas:
• A cursor icon of where they are in the doc (even if they are not selecting an object) or perhaps greyed out while they are working on something.
• The ability to click on their profile icon to be directed to where they are
This could be great if you are on a call with a designer elsewhere to pinpoint whatever they are working on.6 votesThanks for your feedback! Live cursors are available in this week’s release of XD40. Enjoy!

Horizontal and Vertical Stacks
Using stacks in both horizontal and vertical orientations would bring the prototype much closer to to how development works, specially in mobile, providing much more relatable deliverables.
A "spacing" property could also be used in the stack, providing better control over the design.
A toggle between horizontal and vertical is something that would help but is not necessary.
