Change owner of cloud document
A member of our team is leaving. The only way we can change ownership of her files is to have her download them and share them locally. This is fine and all but it breaks all the links to the document so I have to go into the various places we share the link, like JIRA, and add new links.
I would prefer that we could just change ownership of the file to another team member.
We announced CC Spaces in XD today at Adobe MAX! In a space, all members will share ownership of the document, which means people leaving an organization won’t impact your workflow. More details to come!

We are a team of 7 and had a designer move on to another job. I have to go in and open 50+ cloud files and save as a new version so someone else can publish. Now all links to existing prototypes are broken. Such a colossal waste of our time. For all the collaboration hype at Adobe Max 2020, anyone part of a UX team of 3+ designers struggles with glaring omissions such as this BASIC feature! I suppose if no one took any vacation, holiday, or sick leave and stayed with their companies for ever, this would not be an issue.

How on earth is this still not a thing?!!!?

Yeah - this is really needed. Co-editing is fantastic, but when you have three people working on one design and the owner goes on holiday or is moved to another project, everything falls apart. Please fix this.

Same for us in our processes. Nearly weekly we have to reach the owner in the team for a simple link update. Much time and pain if its holidays, illness, pregnancy, free time...
At least multiple owners would be great ... or the ability to transfer ownership.
Plus 10 votes from the entire team ;) -

We're facing the same issue. At least make multiple owners or the ability to transfer ownership.

Not only changing the ownership, but having a shared ownership would be very useful in our workflow (two designers). Now we rely on eachother to publish changes to the shared prototype.

Adobe, please fix this issue asap. It seems with each release lately, we have more problems with working in XD as a design team, not fewer. Components and component sharing have so many bugs now we cannot even use a master component library at all. You are releasing buggy updates too rapidly, without release notes, that are not back-ward compatible even for udpates just a few days apart! Please get your act together and fix the fundamentals for team collaboration and design system support, before you release one more new "feature". We have to seriously look at whether XD is worth the high cost compared to other tools that might not be as fancy, but actually work. I mean, why pay for all these enterprise-class features that really aren't there?

no news about this?

This causes a lot of pain when handing over projects to other designers, especially since it blocks them from updating and creating share links

Shared ownership would be even better. We work in the same team on the same product, the product deserves to be in both our cloud root folder and not 'shared with me' only.

Managing ownership and permissions is a basic function with Google Drive, it's past time to add it to Adobe Cloud

This feature needs more votes! Please consider it soon.
It is a big drawback for our team and I'm sure for any teams. -

This has been suggested for over two years, and yet Adobe seem to ignore one of the fundamental things to get this machinery to work flawless.
Let's say I have worked at a project for a client and we only keep Cloud Documents since we arent allowed to keep it on our local machines, I have hundreds of these, now I am quitting the project and handing it over to an other designer.
Problems that instantly come up:
1. I cant download all the files in one go and re-upload them for the new account (neither via CC or via website or via support)
2. I cant transfer ownership of the file, and save the links that other people rely onSeveral tickets for over two years, yet you do nothing about this, Adobe.
Do we need to change to Figma or Sketch in order to solve basic things like this? -

Our agency needs that too, please. -

That's a really important feature for Agencies, where multiple designer can work on a same document !!! At Publicis we don't use XD that much because of this limitation... Please, this is a must have for Agencies !!!!!
