Link to separate xd documents
Description:
Ability to link to different XD documents, or create a 'project' folder that would let different features of a project to be put into separate XD documents.
Why is this valuable:
With separate pages being in separate documents, but still linked into a single prototype, different owners could collaborate on a single experience and work together to create a single experience. Linking to an XD doc would open the page at the prototype home screen.
Dependencies:
The ability to verify links are XD links (currently available I believe).
Project team members and collaborators.
External links in Prototype Mode
Project Assets and Styles
PS: I thought this feature was already requested - apologies if I missed it - I did look I promise

I have a huge XD file that has all screen mockups for a large platform. i would love the ability to reference/link files to each other. I would be able to see how all the screens work together on a master file but have the separate feature files linked to it (not editable until you double click to open that specific file) whatever is edited in that file shoes in the linked masterful.
Coming from a CAD architectural background i really miss the ability to Xref files.

Please add this feature, I have a huge prototype and now there's is no more room to add anything else, it would be great if we can link together different adobe XD files.

Hello,
I'm currently building a design system, with multiple people working on multiple components at the same time. I'd like to have a single file that would allow me to gather all artboards from external files into one single document.
Adobe InDesign has a similar feature - Booklet. It just gathers multiple .indd files into one set that's ready to be published to a PDF. In our case it would be a design spec for developers.

Here's another vote for this. Being able to link to other XD files would be invaluable for my work flow.

This feature would be very nice to have. I've designed a portal that links to several web apps for my company. Right now each web app including the portal has it's own xd file. I would love to be able to link from my portal prototype to the individual app prototypes and back. Each web app is part of a different team so it would be hard and quite a large XD file to have all this under one xd file.

I total agree with this input. It would be realy helpful in some situations (huge projects with giant dokument siize) to separate one projekt in different files and conect them in one prototype.

Link an element from one XD file to another (Home) artboard on a separate XD file. That way, we can link complex workflows without needing a giant size file. This would also make collaboration a bit easier instead of having numerous editors within one page, working on separate pieces of the doc. Adobe InDesign already does something similar with linked documents
