Simply make XD full Adobe CC ecosystem friendly...
Well... after trying many times XD and giving up frustrated after every try, I’ve reached some thoughts about why its still unusable for my “particular” user experience:
I’ve been doing user interface mock-ups with Illustrator for at least a decade, so my skills are focused on be productive with it and import image assets from Photoshop when needed. Then, I haven’t time to face a learn curve on a new design tool. I want to keep using Illustrator.
Being an Adobe CC long time user, I’ve grown with a deep understanding of Adobe CC ecosystem. Each program cooperates with each other, knowing when any embedded asset is edited outside and automatically. Currently I can’t do that with XD (even PowerPoint can primitively update embedded images) Each time I want to add a modification on a screen, I’ve to delete it and copy-paste it again from Illustrator.
XD user interface has nothing to do with classic Adobe UI philosophy. XD bright white interface and left hidden tool bar menu disorient me each time I jump from another Adobe app.
So, for short… help CC users smoothly integrate XD in their lives, whatever its workflow or software preferences.
As we haven’t heard back in a few months, I’m closing this as inactive. Please do feel free to file a new ticket per idea if you have additional issue. Thanks!
