Larger and more contrast in the interface text and icons
I'm visually impaired and have a hard time seeing Xd's user interface. Gray icons and text on gray background are very hard to see. UI elements are also small. There should be an option to choose an UI with higher contrast and larger text/icons.

Customer satisfaction surveys are essential tools for businesses to gather feedback from their customers. These surveys typically include a series of questions aimed at gauging the overall satisfaction of the customer with the product or service received. The data collected from these surveys can provide valuable insights into customer preferences, pain points, and areas for improvement. Businesses can use this feedback to make informed decisions and enhance the overall customer experience. Additionally, customer satisfaction surveys help measure customer loyalty and identify potential brand advocates. Conducting regular surveys can help businesses stay responsive to the evolving needs and expectations of their customer base. I mean, seriously, Adobe.
Premiere Pro + After Effects: too dark, with no UI scaling (there's some font customization, but does not help that much, most of UI still small)XD: too gray, text still too small. You need to strain your eyes to even see things.
Anyone who is near-sighted will have problem using the software. What gives?
And please don't tell us to use the built-in OS function (change resolution/dpi) or that there are just too many screen configurations out there to support.
Look at how these softwares/apps have done:
- Unity, Blender: UI scaling
- Intellij Idea: Customizable font sizes everywhere possible -

It's crazy how poor the usability is for users with even a slight vision impairment... Icons, controls and text on my high resolution iMac screen are only 2 to 3 mm in size.
Does Adobe have any User Accessibility Specialists or Consultants on staff? Do they perform Accessibility audits? What gives?

This user interface is ridiculous low contrast, and no abbility to have the interface zoom for me. Develop this inside a browser already, and get this contrast disaster over with...

Can we at least get the ability to increase text size? I have to physically move my monitor closer to my face lol

I have reasonably good vision and strain to see the low-contrast text and icons. Trying to demonstrate XD in a classroom - with a projector and limited ability to control ambient light - would be very difficult. I'm hesitant to adopt XD for an upcoming class for this reason.

Our Adobe Accessibility team and our Adobe Research and Strategy team are running this survey to understand more about accessibility needs for people who use Adobe XD. If you ever use features related to accessibility (like zoom, dark mode, text-to-speech, voice command, keyboard navigation etc.) or assistive technology (like a screen reader, switch device, etc.) and if you use or have tried Adobe XD, we want to hear from you! If you are interested, please take some time to fill out our survey. Your input will help us build better products.

Same problem here. We need an interface that can be scaled to our preferences so the text and other elements increase in size. We need dark mode for accessibility, more contrast and a lot of other improvements to the interface to make it easier to use. The text in the left side panel is way too small and the right side panel isn't much better. It's also gray on gray which makes no sense. has the team looked at this at all? What the priorities here? The devs are putting out features like 3D transforms but we dont have basic preferences or accessibility settings for this program. It's a joke.

I have perfect vision and find the XD interface hard to use. Its difficult to tell what falls under the different sections as each has the same light grey colour background. The colour and width of the slightly darker grey line separating the blocks and is not different enough to separate the sections adequately. The small section headings don't help either.
Toggle buttons - I can't tell if the Responsive Resize toggle is on or off - it's either dark grey or light grey. Which grey is on and which is off? I don't know. Please use a color for ON.

Also as a note, the interface at https://xd.adobe.com/ also suffers from the same problems. I have many clients who have difficulties reading the 14px text in the comments and seeing the grey text on white bckground.

Please get the App preferences out soon, I use Sketch, but every year I come back to see in XD is "ready". My main issue is that some of the UI elements are in small and thin font, and in grey.
I am a visual designer, and yes, visually impaired. If you care about accessibility, then make some accessibility options that can be changed in the UI preferences.
I wrote about this two years ago and never got a reply.
Thanks you.

I see this as a problem as well. The readability issues mentioned here plus what is the biggest problem for me: In macOS it is hard to distinguish the active XD Window from inactive Windows. Its has almost the same color. And the XD interface color does not change at all between active and inactive. This is very irritating.

Being 27 years old my vision is pretty good BUT XD’s interface with it’s ridiculously low contrast and tiny font size makes the app unusable for me.

I work for Adobe as a Customer Success Manager and this just came up at one of my ETLA customer accounts. They want to move to an XD workflow and are huge fans, but the UX/UI team leader has a slight visual impairment and has an extremely difficult time with the interface. Needs contrast and menu size controls within XD.

For a program dealing with user UI, this is a disaster-gray icons on gray background and UI elements way to small

The interface text and icons are pale gray on my iMac making the app completely unusable for me. You really need to keep accessibility in mind. Not all developers are twenty-somethings with perfect vision.
