Display online comments in desktop application
It's great to have add and see comments in the online prototype. But even better (for the designer) would be to see those comments in the design file.
I envision a third tab next to Design and Prototype: Comments (or Feedback). When you go to that tab, you see all your artboards, but you also see any comments that have been made on the online prototype. Pin or bubble icons (or whatever) appear next to artboards with comments, which you can click to pull up the comments in a comments panel (similar to the layers and symbols panels, but perhaps on the right side of the screen). In that panel, you can navigate your comments for that artboard, reply, resolve, etc.). Ideally, you could zoom out in this panel to see a list of all your comments (as you can zoom out to see a list of all your artboards in the layers panel). What's helpful about that is when you only have a few comments left, you can easily find them without having to zoom out on your pasteboard to find them visually.
But comments are only online, you say! How would they get into the file? Wouldn't it be great if every time you click Update Link, not only did it upload any updates to CC, but it downloaded any comments that have been made?! Right?! And when you resolve comments or reply, clicking Update Link sends the updates up to CC. Naturally, the wording and UI would need to be changed to reflect more of a syncing functionality rather than just updating a link.
Why would this be so valuable? The entire value proposition of Adobe XD is that we designers don't have to go back and forth between two or more platforms, but could do everything in XD. This would allow that vision to be real. Otherwise, we still have to toggle between XD and a browser window. But if all comments could be downloaded into the file, we could see comments on our designs and change them right there and then!!! That, my friends, would be amazing.

I've seen many projects where comments were written around artboards. They admitted it's ugly and not easy to maintain, but still they wanted a single place to look at instead of searching slack, email, and any other places including comments on shared link.
So I think adding Comment panel as a 4th panel would increase productivity a lot.

Yes! Please more collaboration inside the desktop app to solve corrections really fast (without switching from browser to app and back)

Idea is to add the third navigation item to XD to allow users to view & respond stakeholder comments without leaving the app.
This would improve overall speed & consistency greatly.

It would be good if you could add additional information for the developer.

Currently, I need to have a seperate browser window open next to XD while I am designing to refer to comments made by clients and to resolve them. It would be very helpful to show comments in a new panel directly in XD while I am designing which I could view, resolve and reply to without needing the review link open in another window.

In Unreal Ungine Blueprint system there is really great organizer which you can add comment (or title) and color, sample down below:

I agree. I think it would be very beneficial to at least see the pinned comments within the actual application when working on screens. Would be awesome to see all of the comments whether pinned or not when clicking on an artboard.

Now I can see my prototypes comments only in browser via shared links. It's weird and hard to work with. I really need to work with the comments thru Adobe XD application during design.

Maybe something more similar to Google Docs commenting. Not a separate "view" like in Invision but continuous presence (in design view, prototype, web, specs).
Another feature could be making the comments private, these are designer's notes. -

Great idea. Because design workflow is about communication and sharing...
1. Design
2. Prototype
3. Collaborate
Maybe some solution to connect "Display online comments in desktop application" with "comment inbox" -

This would be an excellent addition and speed up workflow if comments are visible whist editing page

This would be amazing. Check out how Figma does it, that's the one feature that tempts me to use Figma.
What would make it even better is having a dedicated "Annotation" section. All my artboards have a text block below them in my design file where I write instructions for developers. This is time consuming because we have to copy/paste into InVision comments once we go to prototype. It would be the same process with Adobe XD. If we can do it in design mode, it's only 1 step, with much less room for error and way less headaches. If we separate out annotations and comments, that will make sure the annotations don't get lost. That could be as simple as using a separate color for annotations and pinning them to the top of the comment list.

Yes we need this and what Invision is doing with their studio

+1 for this, much needed! Currently if someone else opens the same file (since I share it with multiple designers), the same prototype link doesn't exist. Not sure how. Is it tied to the local machine? If they make a change, they cannot update the prototype themselves. Having comments embeded in a new view along with Design and Prototype, would be fantastic and ideal!

After someone comments on the online prototype, send comments back to XD local file, or have an option to collect all comments from the online presentation, and pair the comments with the respective artboard.

Voted for this.
Need comments on unused artboards / comment history on artboards that later become unlinked.
