Repeat Grid: different icons / SVG images in each grid cell
Apparently only JPG/PNG is supported when performing drag & drop of a set of images.
My assets are often SVG so supporting that format there would spare me from having to generate temporary PNGs or place manually.
It seems currently it adds all SVGs on all cells when dropping and creates a mask of all the files combined(??).
Thank you.

hehehe... just found this limitation. Trying to build a Design System with more than 70 SVG custom icons and badges. Adding them one by one will be a pain.

Until this is addressed it looks like you have to batch convert svg to png or jpg and then drop them into the repeat grid.

I just ran into this same issue. It would be convenient if this could be addressed for repeat grids rather than the same vector images repeating for each repeated element.

In many cases we can't use vector arts. XD does not allow replacing a vector image by another. For example, inside a repeated grid, using different vector arts is a nightmare!
In such cases we need to create a raster version of it with appropriate color / gradient overlay so that we can easily replace them.
Now, when the color palette changes, we need to regenerate the raster images with the updated colors using a different application like Photoshop. This is really awful, and there is no use of the global color palette here.
A real-life example of this could be using different icons inside a repeated grid.
Please add color and gradient overlay. It's a deadly needed feature!
Thanks.

Just to add to this; I would also really appreciate this feature, but not just for SVGs but for any Symbols I have defined. If I define a load of icons as symbols I would like to be able to drag those symbols onto the repeat grid.
Keep up the good work!
