In many cases we can't use vector arts. XD does not allow replacing a vector image by another. For example, inside a repeated grid, using different vector arts is a nightmare!

In such cases we need to create a raster version of it with appropriate color / gradient overlay so that we can easily replace them.

Now, when the color palette changes, we need to regenerate the raster images with the updated colors using a different application like Photoshop. This is really awful, and there is no use of the global color palette here.

A real-life example of this could be using different icons inside a repeated grid.

Please add color and gradient overlay. It's a deadly needed feature!

    Thanks.

Well, let me explain the actual scenario.

We can't use vector icons inside a repeated grid. Because, unlike raster images, vectors are not replaceable. So we need to create raster version of the colored icons and use inside a repeated grid. We also use the raster icons outside the grid too.

Now, when the color palette changes, we need to regenerate the raster icons with the updated colors. This is really painful, and we can't make complete use of the global color palette.

Please add the color overlay feature. It's a deadly needed feature!

    Thanks.
