Round corners on path anchor points
It's currently possible to round corners on primitive shapes. As soon as additional anchor points are added, or a shape is created from scratch using the pen tool, the ability to round corners is removed.
It would be nice to have this option at all times.

this thread dropped my jaw. never was aware that a double click converts a primitve into a custom shape.
why would you do this? I always wondered what f***ed up the corner radius on the button components when resizing.
This "feature" should be removed instantly in my opinion. Don't see a scenario where this could be useful. It's too easy to accidentally click twice on a rectangle when working with nested groups without even noticing that you just broke the re-sizable component.

I'm noticing this issue on a rectangle shape, where I drag it out to be a bit longer, and notice the rounded corners get distorted. So I click into the object and no corner radius. So then I undo my size adjustment and suddenly the corner radius is back. But not all the time either.
I'm still not sure what the pattern is, but sometimes it keeps the corner radius when scaling it. It may have something to do with whether it's part of a group or not. Or if I'm using Responsive Resize, or some button combo like when proportional scaling. Also, if I resize using the input in the panel, the corner radius stays.
So, if resizing an object can cause it to become a "custom shape", it would be nice to have a way to convert that back to a basic shape, other than undo. Especially if there's been no additional path points added to the shape.

XD is the slowest developing piece of software I have ever witnessed. There must be no care whatsoever for the needs of the designers. No Color Management, Now this? I'm sick of having to go into Illustrator to design assets. Disgraceful. XD if you are listening. FOCUS on DESIGN tab. Next release should be ALL design love.

If you inadvertedly double click on a rectangle, save and close, and then you come back later to the same project, the Undo will not save you, you will have to re-create your component from the scratch, smh 😞

Who looked at this "feature" and said "You know what, i think double ckicling to convert a primitive shape into a regular path is a good idea!"?
When will you learn that consistency across your softwares should be paramount?
Double clicking to select something inside a group is a built-in behaviour in my Ai trained hands, now you are making me learn XD 3 times slower than i could just because of your stupidity and short-sight. -

Can't believe it's still not there. I have no idea how to build flows in the app directly without it.

Yes, not only should it be possible to round the corners on any custom shape I make, it should also be possible to do so for individual corners on primitive shapes (even if it auto. converts it to a custom path) As an example, right now it doesn't seem to be possible to round just one corner on a triangle or star primitives. As others have said this is not an issue on competitors such as in Bohemian's Sketch app.
Sure, Sketch does not have "primitive" shapes allowing it to create easily create complex poligons sutch as heptagons or 15 point stars at will, so it can't have this issue.
But Adobe's own Illustrator does and handles it in a way that not only doesn't get in the way of the user's work it also still allows for individual corner rounding on ANY shape, even open ended ones. The need to have a "convert to path" command on the menu already shows that this is something that is potentialy confusing for users... this should be handled in a way that I don't have to be worried if I'm working on a primitive shape or a custom path.
Adobe already knows how to do vector work the right way, you just have to take wat's good in Illustrator and implement it in XD.

I agree this is a crucial feature. Any designer needs this. If XD is trying to become the most prominent tool for UX design, I can't imagine a UX flow chart without being able to round corners for the paths connecting the sections. It's exceedingly inefficient to create the user flow schema on AI and try to paste them back into my XD file.

Please fix this issue. we need to round the corners on a path

Why does it seem like every issue about I research about XD has been around for 3+ years with no solution in sight? This feature is so basic. I miss Sketch, clearly the better tool.

Alek, I completely agree with you. I double-click quite often to select the right shape, and only much later I realize that I cannot change the corners anymore. This is extremely annoying, and cost a lot of time to draw these shapes again. It should be a right-click feature, not a double click.

Addressing this would also fix the issue (deemed "not a bug" but annoys me anyway) where a rectangle gets converted to a path by double-clicking it and the option to round the corners disappears. This is particularly annoying when selecting said rectangle in a component by double-clicking on it.

Please add round corner option on all linear points.
ITS A BASIC OPTION "SKETCH" HAVE IT (please check) and
It is very use-full when you distort a rectangle for an asymmetric view and wanted round corner to be adjusted... at the movement XD have NO WAY TO ADJUST THE CORNERS OF AN ASYMMETRIC RECTANGLE PATH...other than manually adjust the tangents... -

1. I draw a rectangle.
2. I want to resize it, but by adjusting its anchor points positions, not by dragging the resize handlers or by inserting values in the width/height boxes.
3. Even though the rectangle will be converted into a path, it would still be cool if the corner radius would be kept editable, and not get baked. -
@Gonzalo, could you please file that "open path" suggestion as a new, separate request?

Also some sort of "open path" from a closed shape.
Like illustrator!
