Mirroring mobile app
It is super important to live view your design as you work.
Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know that you can now preview, in real time, your #AdobeXD designs and prototypes, on iOS devices (iPhones and iPads) or Android phones (Android tablet support will land soon). Make changes to your design and see it reflected on all the devices you have connected. Add wires to your prototype and play with it to polish the experience, all within the same workflow.
View all the details here (blog post and video): https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/september-update-of-adobe-experience-design-cc-preview
Please give it a try and let us know what you think.
Be part of XD’s journey on mobile devices, this is just the beginning.
Really looking forward to hearing your feedback!

The 'three tap' to access menu feature overrides iPhone 3 taps to zoom the screen, and i cant really access the menu.

Anytime will work the mirroring for android not just with iOS? It's a pain in the a** to exit on the XD app on mobile refresh and wait to open again to check the design, instead to be able to view in real time my work on mobile.

This feature changes the fonts when previewing on mobile. Even when using typekit fonts that are activated on my desktop machine, it doesn't carry over to the live preview inside my mobile device. Making this feature fairly useless.

Great app, but the default design view should be the last artboard worked on, not the home screen.

I like the live editing on mobile, that's a good case.
However, I'd like the ability for the mobile device to reflect where I am in my artboard when working in XD on my Mac.
Example -- I'm designing a mobile page and I scroll down to the footer; currently I'd have to manually scroll to the footer on my device to reflect what I'm working on.
Example II -- I'm in prototype mode on my Mac, and I click a button to move to a linked artboard. I'd expect this interaction to be mirrored on the mobile device, but it just stays on the original page. I have to repeat the Mac interaction on my device if I want true mirroring of behavior.
These issues might not be a big deal for some, but as I use a laptop/phone holder on my desk, it's not always feasible to work this way.
Cheers.

I really wish that this was just the device preview app. I love that I can see XD on my phone now, but hate that I have to have multiple apps on my phone that do the same thing. It would be awesome if I could use device preview and when I switched programs then I could switch what I see on my phone. Still better than nothing though.
Also I wish I could do use it through wifi like device preview so I can walk upstairs and show my co workers work.

I totally agree with this one! I think there should be some coherent on some functionality across the Adobe suite and having preview is one of them. This would work so well not just to view flats but also prototypes.

Please integrate the preview app.
It is incredible to have to load it into photoshop all the time when i want to see a change!
It should be easy! -

Both... Sometimes you want to see them down scaled, sometimes you don't... There should be a toggle on one of the corners or something that allows you to change between viewing modes

I think iPad artboards should be scaled down to fit the iphone 6, make it much more usable.
Maybe with later updates, user can configure responsive elements for easier use.
For example, responsive web on phone -

So when I share a link to an app concept and want to test it on my phone, I would like if we could install the concept like an application as Invision allows you to do. I only get to test the prototype in my browser which sometimes creates an unrealistic experience due to the browser bar at the top.

Can we expect a windows 10 mobile app as well?
Since you provide the UI Kit for the 3 major systems would be a must at this point. Please add this OS to the working plans to cover all systems and assure max device compatibility and consistency. ( also needed to be included on photoshop preview device )
The perfect solution would be the possibility to choose scale or 100% before mirroring .

I don't find any reason why this isn't implemented yet. I think all the structure is ready since It's already used in Photoshop, it shouldn't take time to make it for XD. This is the only reason that I am not using XD yet and using Photoshop instead.

I like this! Voting to scale by default.
(Optionally disable scale in prototype settings. And additionally optionally disabling scale in app settings where preview is being made.)

Why not both?

It would be great to have the option to turn on and off the status bar on the mobile phone mirror.

If the mirroring feature truly acts like HTML5 responsive design, then there would be no need to scale the view since it is acting like HTML. However, I have yet to see a mirroring feature do that.
That being said, without it behaving like HTML5 responsive design, I vote for no scaling, as to the point that some have made, you will have a false sense of the experience since things are not at their true size on the device that is viewing it.
