Thanks for the tip. FYI: the tooltip only works if you hover over the truncated name, not the thumbnail ;)

Most file names are too long to be read in thumbnail view, I would prefer to see them in a list. I would be useful to have the option to switch just like in PS' opening screen.

Add a filter to the layers panel to emulate Photoshop's ability to isolate types of layer, search for layer names, etc. This is useful for managing large projects with hundreds of layers.
